Marauders Preference - Disney Songs
A/N: Surprise! Marauders preference based on Disney songs! These are kind of short, but hopefully you still enjoy them!
James:

So this is love (humming) So this is love So this is what makes life divine Iâm all aglow, (humming) And now I know The key to all heaven is mine
You hummed quietly to the radio as you stirred the pancake batter by hand. Sure, you could do it with magic but the motion was relaxing and on a peaceful Sunday morning, you werenât in any rush.Â
You were, however, trying your best to get the food done by the time James woke up. James loved pancakes, especially the ones with chocolate chips and lots of syrup. Unfortunately for him, being a professional quidditch player meant staying in shape. Therefore, his opportunities for consuming pancakes were limited. He only allowed pancakes after a victory. Fortunately for the both of you, he had led his team to a commanding win the night before.Â
âPlease tell me youâre making pancakes,â came a sleepy voice from the doorway.Â
Turning, you saw a messy haired James walking toward you in nothing but a pair of athletic shorts.Â
âOf course I am. You won last night, didnât you?â you joked.Â
âI was on the pitch, wasnât I?â he quipped back smugly.Â
You huffed as you poured the batter onto the steaming skillet and focused your attention on the eggs cooking on the stove.Â
James made his way over to you, placing a soft kiss to your exposed shoulder.Â
âAs much as I love your cooking, I love waking up to you more,â he murmured into your neck, his arms snaking around your waist.Â
âMm, well, whatâs stopping us from going back to bed after breakfast?â you asked back, eager to spend a quiet day at home with your fiancĂ©.Â
âI like the way your mind works,â he chuckled.
âI like you,â you responded, kissing his cheek as you gently shoved him away. âNow, get off, so I can finish cooking.â
He groaned quietly but did as instructed, stalking off to the other side of the kitchen.
You worked in quiet for a few minutes. James watched you intently, etching the way you moved into his mind. Every one of your features magnified in the soft morning light.Â
He was pretty confident that he would never tire of this. Spending the rest of his life with you. He couldnât understand the couples that complained about each other. The ones that seemed to only be together out of necessity or convenience. You and Jamesâ version of love was nothing like that. It was unconditional. It was fights with quick and sincere apologies. It was falling asleep in uncomfortable positions just to be near each other. Late night laughs and comforts after rough days. It was heaven. And James had the key. You. Â
Eventually, James grew restless and began to sway around the kitchen, his moves not even close to the rhythm of the music. His terrible dancing sending you into giggling fits as you moved the food to the table.Â
âYou are, without a doubt, the worst dancer I have ever seen,â you laughed.Â
âAnd you get to call me yours! How lucky are you?â He shimmied his way over to you, hands taking yours and pulling you onto the âdance floor.âÂ
âJames!âÂ
âCome on, love, itâs my day off! Humor me,â he pleaded.Â
âOh, alright,â you conceded and allowed James to parade you around the room.Â
After the song ended, James rested his forehead against yours. âI love you,â he mumbled, pressing a kiss to your nose.Â
âI love you, too,â you assured. âCan we eat now, though?â
He let out a hearty laugh, âCourse we can. Can never resist your food, can I?â
Remus:
There you see her Sitting there across the way She donât got a lot to say But thereâs something about her And you donât know why But youâre dying to try You wanna kiss girl
(If you want to listen while you read:Â https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrRbB-qUJfY)
Sheâs quiet. But whip-smart. A humor that not everyone got. Eyes that sparkled in the moonlight. A mischievous glint that appeared when no one was looking. No one but Remus it seemed. And god, he liked her. More than he should. He knew she deserved better. Someone more stable. Safer. But he craved her. Craved her like chocolate.
Sitting across from her in the astrology tower, he watched her discretely. He loved the way her hair fell around her shoulders. The way her lips curved upward slightly. The way her eyes were filled with wonder as she examined the nighttime sky.Â
âYou ever think about how small we are?â she asked suddenly, her eyes never leaving the stars.Â
âUm,â Remus started, a bit unsure of how to answer.Â
âI mean, like, weâre so insignificant. We donât even know how big this world is. Weâre just a concept. Weâre grains of sand in an infinite desert,â she marveled.Â
He shook his head as she continued to ramble. His smile was one of fondness. He loved the way her mind worked. The way she seemed to just âget it.â She didnât get caught up in unnecessary drama or worries. She just lived. And that was something Remus needed. Badly.Â
âRemus?â her melodic voice shook him out of his own thoughts.Â
âHuh?âÂ
âDo you think thereâs a reason we met? Like do you think we were brought together for a reason?â
He hesitated for a moment, not wanting to scare her off. âI - Iâd like to think so.â
She grinned, âMe too,â before turning back up to the sky.Â
Remus wanted her. He wanted to kiss her. Softly. Passionately. Sloppily. He wanted to wake up to her in his arms, her hair splayed across the pillow like a hallow. He wanted to comfort her when she was upset. He wanted to tell her his fears. He wanted her to tell him he was okay just the way he was. He wanted everything about her.
âY/N?â Remus mumbled.Â
âYes?â
âCan I -â he paused, completely terrified.Â
âCan you what, Remus?â
He took a deep breath, âCan I kiss you?â
Even in the dim moonlight, Remus could see her cheeks redden, her mouth falling open slightly as she processed his request.Â
âI-Iâm sorry, I shouldnât-,â Remus stuttered.Â
âYes,â she said boldly, cutting him off. âYes, Remus, you can kiss me.â
He looked up at her in surprise. She had a soft smile playing at her lips and was looking at him expectantly.Â
Leaning in, their lips met. The kiss was soft. Sweet. Everything it should be.Â
When they pulled apart, she kissed his cheek in acknowledgment before asking, âDo you want to go to Hogsmeade next weekend?â
Sirius:
Whoâd ya think youâre kidding? Heâs the earth and heaven to ya Try to keep it hidden, honey we can see right through ya Girl ya canât conceal it We know how youâre feelinâ, who youâre thinking of

âYou two are so in love,â Marlene clapped her hands together.Â
Sirius had just left your room, his hand gently squeezing your shoulder as he headed out. Your eyes meeting one last time as he looked over his shoulder before he passed through the doorframe.Â
âWe are not! Weâre friends,â you asserted.Â
âNo,â Lily chimed in, âSirius and I are friends. We donât look at each other like that.â
Marlene nodded in agreement, dropping her magazine in favor of teasing you. âTold you!âÂ
âYou two are unbelievable!â you sighed. Sure, Sirius was good looking and a good friend. And maybe, you two had been seeing each other secretly. BUT you were not in love with him. And he was NOT in love with you.Â
You knew how Sirius was. He got around. He treated each girl with respect, but that didnât change the fact that he was a well known ladiesâ man. There was nothing about your relationship that hinted it was anything more than a fling.Â
And that was why you couldnât admit your feelings for him. Even to yourself.Â
You huffed, âIâm going for a walk.â
Lily and Marlene shared a knowing look, but didnât stop you.Â
Making your way down the stairs, you saw the boys sitting on the couch.Â
âHey, (Y/N)!â James greeted.
You waved but kept walking.Â
âWhere you headed?â Sirius asked.
âGoing for a walk,â you mumbled, shocked at how quickly your feelings for him had resurfaced. Upset at yourself for getting so worked up over them.Â
Sirius started to respond, but you swiftly exited through the portrait hole before he could finish.
Tears started to well, and you put your head down as you walked down the corridor, no destination in mind.Â
â(Y/N)!â Sirius called, running after you.Â
Shit. Blinking your eyes a few times, hoping the tears would stop, you paused.Â
He slowed to a halt next to you, âWhatâs wrong, love?â
âNothing,â you answered, looking everywhere but his eyes.Â
â(Y/N),â Sirius tilted your chin so you had to meet his eyes. âTalk to me, love. Did I do something?â
You shook your head.Â
âPlease, sweetheart, say something,â his voice was on the verge of breaking, his eyes worried.Â
âIâm sorry,â you whispered.Â
âFor what?â he asked incredulously.Â
âGetting attached. Falling for you.â
âI donât understand?âÂ
âI know that weâre not serious. I know it was never going to be. But I canât do this anymore. It hurts too much. To know this is going to end. Youâll find someone else,â you admitted.Â
Sirius was quiet as he processed your words. His face going unreadable for a moment before he pulled you into his chest, his arms wrapping around you protectively, his lips pressing gentle kisses to your hairline.Â
âOh, (Y/N),â he chuckled.
âDonât laugh at me!â you shouted, pulling away from him.
âNo!â he exclaimed. âIâm not laughing at you! I just - I should have told you earlier. Iâm not going anywhere. Youâre not getting rid of me,â he clarified.
âWhat?â
âI guess I sort of fell for you. More than expected.â He rubbed his neck nervously, glancing at the ground.Â
âYou- you did?â
âYeah. I think I love you, actually,â he mumbled, his cheeks red.Â
Standing on your toes, you pressed a soft kiss to his cheek, âI love you too.â
The two of you grinned dopily at each other before finally heading back to the common room, hand in hand. Before youâd even made it through the portrait hole, you were greeted by cheers.Â
âCalled it!â yelled Marlene as Lily high-fived her.
