But something is different.

The Red Paladins

The Weeping Monk roams the countryside with the Red Paladins hunting Fey and burning down their villages. He has unique skills when it comes to tracking his targets, and he has little mercy for them. The only mercy he ever shows is towards children, refusing to hurt them. He is Father Carden’s prized weapon, and the Monk looks to Carden as a father, seeing as the man raised him. The Monk is loyal to the Red Paladins, and he seeks to do whatever is needed to bring the Wolf Blood Witch down, claiming the Devil’s Tooth for the Church.

HC | Monk’s Horse

In the book, he is noted as riding a white courser, but in the show, he has a black horse named Goliath. That horse always seems to suit him better in my mind, so that is the horse that he has. Even in the AU’s, he will always have his horse in some capacity – be it a constant partner, or a long time companion that he tends to. Goliath is important to Monk, and one of the few constants in his life that he doesn’t have to fear judgement or distrust from.
