Peter Oxenstierna-Mihăileanu, at your service! I'm an online school student but I practically live on campus since my parents work here! What can I do for you? {Dependent Hetalia RP blog for Astrum Academia}
[a picture rests in the middle of the page of an abandoned hospital, the bricks cracked and vines growing up the one side of the old building] [the windows are cracked and some are missing completely from vandals over the years that have also spray painted the building] [the lawn is overgrown after years of not being kept, grass overgrown and trees twisting around each other] [off center of the picture is a little boy crouched in the grass, his blonde hair disheveled and an easy smile on his freckled face] [not much is strange about him save for the outdated outfit from the 1920′s and the fact that he’s partially see through]
This picture was taken at an abandoned hospital in [place retracted] by [name retracted] on the date of [date retracted.] This hospital has a strange history, in my most professional opinion. I’ve explained the history of the hospital in another post located here [link to post has been deleted.] Many people in the area have claimed of seeing the child pictured above but most think he’s homeless and living there. The police have been called as have social services to investigate the area but the force has reported that there’s no sign of anybody living there, let alone a child as young as he appears to be.
Despite the belief of the child just being homeless, many believe that he’s actually a ghost of a child that had died in the hospital many years ago while it was still a working establishment. Other people who believe in this theory think he’s just a traveling spirit as he’s not in hospital garb and instead what appears to be street clothing and a sailors hat in some other photographs.
Just this past week a group of teenagers broke into the hospital to investigate the hospital on their own. I had the pleasure of speaking with one of them and was able to get an excerpt of what he experienced while there:
“It was creepy there, ya know? Like there was stuff all over the floor and wheelchairs lined up in one of the hallways. I kept on hearing noises too but none of my friends did. They were all too focused on trying to find that kid that people always talk about seeing. We even brought s**t for him to eat if he ended up just being homeless. My friend [name retracted] screamed at one point and she was pointing into one of the rooms and talking about seeing someone in the back corner. I was the only one with balls enough to check it out but I didn’t see anybody until I turned around and saw him out of the corner of my eyes. He had this... look on his face, I dunno how to explain it. His eyes were wide and he just looked excited but when I tried to face him fully he was gone. I thought I was going crazy! People don’t just appear and then disappear out of nowhere right? So we all booked it out of there saying that the place was definitely haunted, especially after books started flying at us when we went deeper into the hospital.”
If anybody has any more information on this hospital and the child ghost, or any other ghost that may be located there; please send it to me on this blog so I may post about it and let the ghosthunting organizations I know check it out.
To finish this up whatever the story of the child, a lonely little boy with no home or a wandering spirit; I think I speak for us all when I say we hope he’s happy and is safe no matter his status.
Abilities: Peter is able to make his body tangible, allowing him the ability to touch others as well as items. If he touches somebody the area he touches will feel extremely cold and they may even feel tired until the connection is lost.
Background: Born in the early 1910′s, Peter wasn’t a very fortunate child. His mother was homeless and he never met his father as the two of them struggled to get by. When he was 3 his mother died due to sickness and he was sent to an orphanage. He lived there for a few years until being adopted by Berwald Oxenstierna. Though legally only Berwald’s son, he very much though of Andrei as a father as well and life was good for a while.
Until Andrei was kiilled in an ‘accident’ at the hospital. He wasn’t sure exactly what had happened and had no idea of his papa’s theory of it not being an accident, but he was heartbroken all the same that his dad wasn’t with them anymore.
Time passed and then Berwald was suddenly ill with Tuberculosis. Peter was frantic since he knew what it did to people. He had known kids in the orphanage who had their parents taken away from them by the same illness and he was terrified that his papa would be taken from him as well. Sadly Berwald did end up passing and Peter was quickly sent off to another home.
He grew up there, as nobody wanted to adopt him due to various reasons; one of them being he was too old. When he was old enough to go out on his own he did so quickly and became a clerk at the local police station, using his job as a means to begin looking into his fathers’ mysterious and sudden deaths.
After a few years he became an officer and that helped him advance his investigation to figure out what had happened. He finally believed he solved the case in his early 40′s; finding out as well that the man that had killed them had died in the very same hospital his parents had worked at in a freak accident.
He dedicated his life to finding out the case, giving closure to himself as well as the families of the victims the culprit had also killed.
Life went on for him; leaving the force, volunteering at local orphanages. He died in his early 60′s of natural causes in a hospital a few miles away from where he grew up.
It was definitely strange when he realized that he hadn’t ‘moved on’ but instead was his 12 year old self and in the hospital that his parents had worked at and died in. It was amazing to reunite with them after so many years and he now ‘lives’ with them in the abandoned hospital.
He’s come to the conclusion that he took on the appearance of when he was happiest and though strange to be a child again, he remembers his adult life and has the thought process of an adult. He acts as a child does though, laughing freely and enjoying what there is of his after life.
Extras:
He’s extremely curious of the humans that come into the hospital and is always excited to talk to them.
Despite having the memories and thought processes of being an adult he acts a child does as for some reason it doesn’t process in his body correctly (he’s not too frustrated about this fact though as he grew up much too fast after the passing of his fathers)
Due to his ability to become tangible, people who pass by the hospital will sometimes see him in the windows and playing outside so they assume a homeless child lives there and often call the cops to come check out the hospital. Some of the people believe he’s a ghost (and they’re right) so there are pictures of him on the internet and rumors of the ‘Troubled Ghost Child” when in reality he’s perfectly content and happy where he is.
Some days he appears as his adult self and though he doesn’t know why he just goes along with it because it doesn’t really bother him at all.
I am confident, what makes you think I’m not? [puffs out his chest][not really confident] [innocent look] I didn’t rush. [he totally rushed, but only on a few]
[gives him a Look] You rushed. There are silly mistakes here. [takes control of the vidya game] You know what to do, Pete.
[the innocent look melts and he huffs] Yeah yeah... I know. [takes the tablet and looks through to find his mistakes] [starts fixing them and after a while he’s finally done before handing it over to him] There.
I am confident, what makes you think I’m not? [puffs out his chest][not really confident] [innocent look] I didn’t rush. [he totally rushed, but only on a few]
[nods] Good. According to today’s fortune telling, you can get good luck by feeding birds. [it was a strange fortune but he believes it nonetheless] Follow me. [walks to the direction of that spot at the park where there are plenty of pigeons]
Oh cool! I can always use more good luck. [grinning, he followed the other to where the pigeons seemed to flock] [already he heard a bunch of cooing] Can I have some crumbs?
Have you seen anyone with a centipede hanging from the strings of their hair? I’m missing my pet centipede, Richard. [ forced smile ] Maybe you can help.
[what the-] [why does he have breadcrumbs] If it’s mental help I’m not sure what I can do for you but it depends on what it is. I’m not going to any creepy van just so you know!
