I read your recent Transformers post and I hope it's okay to ask for some information on concubus au, please?
oh, yeah!
𖹭 background information 𖹭
"concubus" is the gender neutral-term for "succubus" and "incubus." it takes away the sexism that the two words connotate. that is a long story in itself, so go research it yourself if you want to learn more.
the roots of the words are—
in+cubere is latin for “to lie upon”
suc+cubere is latin for “to lie under”
con+cubere is latin for “to lie with”
they are essentially sex demons that survive off it.

× note(s): this may slightly vary depending on timeline, but the core idea is the same. if i were creating this au solely without an x reader component, then some of the characters i write about wouldn't be concubus when we're factoring in that they're so rare.
primus is not only the giver of life but also a symbol of sex and free love. rarely there are cybertronians created that are known as concubuses. they are very highly valued and seen as something to be worshipped.
they consume a special type of energon, a special transfluid, that's created through sexual stimulation. beings getting horny around them acts as a stimulant for their frame, but they cannot survive on that alone. the fluids are where they get most of their nutrition.
when cybertronians are majorly oppressed, whether that be through the quintessons or the senate (etc.), the concubus are eliminated. they are forced into hiding, becoming pets for the upper class if they are captured (and deemed "worthy" of living.)
post the major oppression, the concubus population is even lower. some still see them as symbols of primus; others have been brainwashed by puritanical values and see them as beings created by unicron to trick cybertronians into worshipping him instead.
concubus are incredibly fertile. their frames are built for carrying and giving life. primus knew when he created the concubus they would be sought after and quite possibly abused. that's why he gave them the ability to transfix beings and control their processors (to a certain extent.) concubus also heal much faster than normal cybertronians and have higher staminas.
concubus can be created four ways—
• being born as such, if your carrier or sire is a concubus, then you have a higher chance of inheriting it.
• the concubus prime using the matrix to bestow upon you such a power. in rare cases being near a prime for long enough has caused regular cybertronians to become concubuses.
• a dying concubus transferring the rest of the power in their spark to you.
• a sparkeater concubus getting their fluids inside you/touching your spark chamber.
whoever inherits the matrix becomes concubus prime, even if they weren't a concubus before taking the mantle up. concubus can have naturally higher or lower levels of their abilities. after the concubus are eliminated during the major oppression, it's natural for those who are considered concubus to be low functioning, almost being typical cybertronians.
Random facts about some of my AUs:
Winner!Alastor
He is the shortest of my AU versions of Alastor. He's 6ft instead 7ft (canons height), meaning he's the same height as Charlie, and at least 2ft shorter than Angel. This is because Sinners souls are usually taller.
Because he's been able to keep up speaking Creole with his mother, the language comes easier to him than other versions. His louisianan French, however, is extremely rusty from lack of use.
Alastor strongly identifies with the meaning of the word Creole (meaning a blend or mix). Nothing about him is one thing; His ethnicity, his skin colour, his religion, or even his morals. This only fuels his feeling of never quite fitting in with those around him.
He's uncomfortable with being touched, except for certain people. He doesn't understand what triggers it, or why he doesn't mind it from others in certain situations.
His microphone cane is more practical than just as a conduit for his power. He sustained an injury to his leg while alive, and found it uncomfortable standing for long periods of time without support. In his afterlife, he still occasionally feels phantom pains from the injury.
Azrael!Alastor
Azrael rarely travels to the human world, even though he can, living souls don't usually take his interest.
Serial killers sometimes pique his interest, curious about who is responsible for a large number of souls who died by the same hand, so he was already aware of a few Overlords when he first started his double life in hell.
He finds Human souls much more interesting than Heaven or Hell born. Despite preferring Hell to Heaven for its entertainment value, for this reason he mainly only visits the pride ring of hell.
Most of the Seraphim are older than him since he only came into existence when Edan was first created. Before that, there was no death to need someone to manage it.
None of the heavenly host consider themselves related to each other, but Azrael will rarely refer to them as Brothers or sisters. When he does, he means this strictly in the 'brother in arms' or 'sister in christ' sense, rather than as a familial relation. Though most of the host do refer to God as Father in the religious sense.
Media Overlords
Alastor doesn't like it when the hotel and Vees mix without him being the one to arrange it. He thinks Vox is trying too hard to take over one of the few projects that Alastor has taken on without him.
Valentino and Alastor don't get along 90% of the time, but they have a begrudging respect for the fact that they are both important people to Vox. When Vox is away they tend to avoid eachother as much as they can.
Velvette finds Alastor amusing, but gets irritated when he tries to dictate how they conduct their business.
Angel Dust often uses Alastor as a shield against Val, claiming that Alastor would be very upset if he doesn't get back to the Hotel on time.
Sir pentious makes himself scarce whenever Vox visits the hotel, scared that he will still make good on his promise of killing him for getting caught.
Sin!Lucifer
He loves to be the life of the party, encouraging people to enjoy themselves to their hearts content with over indulgence. Despite this, he himself can't get drunk or high from almost anything in the pride ring.
He makes it extremely difficult for normal sinners to get hold of Angelic steel, ensuring they only get bought by people the Angelic Arms dealer approves.
He often wears his wedding ring on a cord around his neck, unwilling to stop wearing it, but acknowledging that the relationship is most likely over. He still wears it on his finger around Charlie.
Feral!Alastor
The most openly Masocistic of the AU versions. He's so desensitised to horrors that he often laughs at them or forgets that its not pleasant for most people. He gets an adrenaline high from pain inflicted upon him during a fight, triggering him to fight harder while riding the chaotic buzz of danger.
Extremely touch adverse. The only time he finds touch acceptable is during combat, or to seal a deal. Outside of that, people are likey to get a hand bitten off if they try to touch him without permission. He hasn't had a time since his death where he's found touch anything other than uncomfortable or repulsive.
He hates people helping him out for nothing, not trusting that they won't expect something in return. Everything has a price, and he'd rather know the terms up front.
Has an issue with authority, or anyone he perceives as a threat, which is anyone with potentially more power than him.

For the two people wondering why I haven't gotten any new things done in my Kirby Right Back At Ya AU: A Nightmarish Problem, it's because the device I use to make the things I post is actually from my school and as such, I can't use it because it's currently Thanksgiving break. If I have ideas for different AUs however, I'll probably just throw them in here every now and then, labeling which AU it is. Here's the current list!
1: A Nightmarish Problem (KRBAY, but Tiffumu is turned into a Demon Beast by Nightmare)
2: Hammer Friends! (KRBAY, but Dedede taught Tiffumu how to defend herself because he didn't want to be strangled by Lady Like when Tiff inevitably gets really hurt by one of the Monsters/Demon Beasts he orders while she tries to protect Kirby)
3: Into The Wilds: Normal Ending (Kirby and the Forgotten Land, but with KRBAY characters with Tiffumu replacing the second Dedede encounter and helping Dedede in the third encounter. This ending occurs if Kirby decides to deal with Tiffumu before defeating Dedede, freeing her from Fecto Fargo's control along with Dedede, the two of them then proceeding to help the Waddle Dee and fight off the horde of animals while Kirby goes to kick butt)
4: Into The Wilds: Feral Friend Ending (the exact same thing as number 3, but Kirby can't bring himself to hurt Tiffumu and decides to deal with Dedede first, ending the fight as Dedede is snapped out of his hypnosis and does the same thing as in canon, but with the pain of also needing to deal with a still hypnotized Tiffumu. After Kirby defeats Leongar, everything goes the same, but on top of all the animals getting absorbed, Tiffumu is also absorbed. After she's freed, her body has permanent changes to it from having her DNA smushed together with the other animals, giving her orange and untameable hair, slowish growing claws that she cries over when Lady Like and Sir Ebrum has them trimmed down so she doesn't accidentally hurt anyone, sharper teeth, and an unexplainable NEED to chase any sorta round object she sees, leading to her being banned from watching others play sports. On another note, she traded DNA with an awoofy! Said awoofy now refuses to leave her side, eventually going back to Popstar with her. The awoofy is also now blond thanks to Tiffumu's own hair... yeah, they switched hair colors if it wasn't obvious)

Platonic A/B/O
So, one of my first posts on this blog was my own take on the a/b/o / omegaverse au. However, after revisiting it, I really want to re-write it and fix it up a bit. Obviously, I still want to focus less on the whole romantic/sexual part of it and more on the pack dynamics it offers!
Second Gender / Group Dynamic
A second gender or group dynamic refers to whether a person is an Alpha, Beta, Omega, or Pup.
Alpha - The leader or second-in-command of a pack
Alphas typically have strong leadership qualities and are always doing the best to take care of their packmates. Some alphas are known to be a tad bit aggressive, but they're more commonly known for being caring and understanding. They are protective and will do what they can to attend to the needs of their pack or keep them safe.
Beta - The mediator of a pack
Betas are typically sympathetic, understanding which makes them great mediators. They are usually the ones ensuring their packmates are properly taking care of themselves whether that be by taking time to relax and unwind or distracting them with something fun. Even Betas that aren't known for being great mediators do well with keeping their packs together.
Omega - The caretaker or protector of a pack
Omegas are typically fierce and loyal or shy and anxious. Most omegas are very territorial and secretive and will only open up to their packmates or those they feel they can trust. Past their anxious or angry exterior, they're typically loving and kind. But on top of that, they will defend their pack with their lives and care for them just as fiercely.
Pup - The children of a pack
Pups are neutral and show no signs of their second gender/group dynamic until they reach the age of ten. Throughout their childhood, a pup will fluctuate between their second gender/group dynamic as they try to figure themselves out and find their place in the world. The second gender/group dynamic will settle into place when they turn eighteen, although in some cases it is known to happen earlier then that depending on the pups maturity or due to trauma.
Heats, Ruts, and Beta Flu
Heats, Ruts, and Beta flu are first experienced when a pup turns eighteen and will continue to be experienced by them up until old age. These events usually only last once a week every month and is just a way to ensure alphas, betas, and omegas get to rest and spend time with their packmates.
Heats - Experienced by omegas
During this time, omegas will become extremely anxious, frustrated, and touch-starved. They will lash out at anyone they don't feel comfortable with and hide away in a safe, secure place where they can make a nest. An omega will become sick and feverish if they remain without a packmate for long as their anxiety will trigger a stress response leading to this intriguing phenomena. Something about being close to a packmate keeps an omega calm and happy as they express trust in being cared for by their pack.
Ruts - Experienced by alphas
During this time, alphas will become clingy, stressed and aggressive. Only packmates are safe enough to be around an alpha when they're in a rut. They will make a nest in a place they feel safe and remain there for the remainder of their rut. They will become sick and depressed if they don't have their packmates around and this is sometimes known to lead to lasting affects on an alpha even after their rut. A rut is a time for an alpha to be surrounded by their packmates as it helps them feel comforted, appreciated and loved.
Beta Flu - Experienced by betas
During this time, betas become exhausted, sluggish, and pained. They will immediately throw together a nest to rest in and typically sleep through most of the week. They're aches and pains from the sickness they're experiencing tend to go away when they're packmates are there with them. This is a time where a beta just rests and trusts that their packmates will take care of them for the week.
