Skrillex Talks Studio Time With Justin Bieber, Diplo + Jack Ü, and Deadmau5 Drama

Skrillex not only produces music for himself, but he is currently in the studio with Justin Bieber working with him on his new album. It’s only natural for fans to want to hold on to their favorite artists. Being that Jack Ü’s sound is a combo of Skrillex and Diplo’s unique, underground styles, when their music goes more mainstream, people start hating. One person in particular that actually helped Skrillex with his career is Deadmau5 who completely trolled him after the release of their latest track “Where Are Ü Now,” making fun of the song’s violin sample by posting a parody of the song online replacing the violin with a kazoo.

“I’ll always have love for Joel because he put me on at an early time, admits Skrillex. “But he’s an as*****. And everyone knows that, and he knows that. And that’s kinda his thing. “I think his attitude’s changed over the last couple years,” he continued. “I personally have become less connected to his music because his personality is almost overshadowing that, when he is such an incredible artist.”

Notice how he isn’t saying anything about the talent of the producers, or even anything negative about Biebs. Rather, knowing what they (Skrill and Diplo, in this case) CAN do, together or separately, he seems sort of disappointed they didn’t, or chose not to and went for the money play instead of pure talent.

Deadmau5 doesn’t dole out compliments lightly… This is a guy that heard some random dude at some vocals to one of his songs (The Veldt) and then asked if he could use those, not because the guy was famous, but because he genuinely thought the lyrics and the sound fit his song.

As a kid in school Skrillex was bullied, so he had some advice for those kids who are looking at back-to-school as something to fear; “No matter what, society can be hard. As long as you stick together in a group of people that are like minded, doing positive things, all of that stuff goes away,” says Skrillex. “There’s always someone like you. That’s when you have to take responsibility and be bigger and step outside of yourself and reach out to someone and mentor someone else.

Cutting hair is not that bad. I guess Sonny would look pretty cool with short hair too, but of course long hair is always the best one. And, the result of the haircut has not been published yet, so how can we be sure about what’s going on?? Also, it’s his own choice to do what he likes with his hairstyle. The look is not the most important thing. The most important thing is that he keeps making his good music and being the adorable little forever young Sonny. ♥
