Mist and Phantom redesigns!!

You’ve already seen the new Phantom design in my previous post but here it is in detail!! I also felt my previous Mist design was too cluttered so I updated her too!!

I duplicate my line art layer and use Gaussian Blur (usually around 3-4%) and then adjust the opacity until I like it!! :]]

RAIN vs. SUMMER HEATWAVE

I'm aliveeee!!

Since Europe is absolutely suffering right now, it made me think how badly the water ghouls in the ministry would suffer during the summer overall. I bet most of them would to retreat to the bottom of the lake until it’s cooler in the evening. HOWEVER, I bet the fire ghouls are absolutely thriving.

I'm sure Dew doesn't miss summers as a water ghoul LMAO

HAZE, ZEPHYR, SUNSHINE AND COWBELL DESIGNS!!

OKAY SO!!

I headcanon that Haze’s strongest elements are water and quintessence, so I gave her webbing and ram-like horns. For Sunshine I headcanon her strongest elements as air and fire. I purposefully didn’t give Zephyr a tail (due to a summoning accident perhaps), so he sits down frequently during performances due to his poor balance and relies on mobility aids. I couldn’t find anything that explained WHY some people named him ChAIR. Is it just because he sat down sometimes???

Sorry this took so long, I just wanted to draw them in their different era uniforms!!! Anyway, thankyou to those who requested these guys and feel free to request who you’d like to see next!!!

Could you possibly do a tutorial on how you color/shade your art? It’s sooooo pretty omg

Thankyouuu AAAAA 🌟!! Tbh with colours I usually search for colour palettes, or I reuse colours I’ve collected over the years that I particularly like. Playing around with gradient maps and hue, saturation and brightness can also help!!

For shading, (using Procreate) I use the select tool and a soft airbrush with low opacity settings for soft edges, and the standard studio brush for solid colours. For extra softness I use an airbrush smudge tool.

(For highlights in the hair I just invert the shading selection)

When it comes to shading a face, finding a geometric 3D head model to use as a reference definitely helps.

I switch between the Multiply and Shade layer depending on what looks better, and use add for lighting. I also colour in the line art, mostly because it looks cool but its also a nice finishing touch!!
