Omg that library…My personal dream
Create study places that make you crave knowledge in the pit of your stomach - hungry for more.
Because we can all use some spells during first week of university.
When in doubt... What would Hermione do?
As of today, my little studyblr blog is 1 year old! I haven't posted a lot, I know, but it's been such a motivational, inspiring year - shout out to all fellow students and studyblrs and onto another year of hard work and big results :)
I made a thing. A very graphic-y, studyblr thing and it was so much fun :)
Honestly, the decision to do cheat sheets for my recommended readings each week was probably the best of the whole semester - hopefully saving myself lots of time during exam phase!

Studyblr at home vs. at University (coffee somehow always plays a part) Unfortunately they don't have aesthetically pleasing green plants at the lecture halls...
As of today, my 4th semester at university begins and not only does this mean I will be a more active studyblr again, it also marks the middle of my bachelor's degree. There are 3 things university has taught me; lessons I wouldn't want to have missed: i. Stop comparing yourself to others. Comparing myself to others has to be the most hurtful thing I've done to my motivation during all this time. It will drive you crazy – hell, it sure has given me a handful of restless nights. It's gotten to a point where I felt intimidated even when I was perfectly prepared: I'd talk things over with a fellow student and if their knowledge of the subject was equal to mine I got scared, because if they knew, everyone else must know this much and surely the exams are much harder than average knowledge…? Losing focus on your own work will do nothing but make every single one of your own accomplishments seem so small in comparison. There's probably a life lesson in there, but for now, I try and remind myself of this throughout the semester. ii. Don't let personal sympathies get in your way. There's this professor and he's such a snob. Or it's the tutor which makes my passive-aggressiveness skyrocket. Or the fact that I really don't see the point of the subject, so it doesn't deserve me investing any energy in it, right? Wrong. Best case scenario: You turn this hostility into defiance and show them what you're made of. For those of us who aren't cut out for that much drama, this has helped me: There´s so much more behind every lecture than what is presented to you in university. I use books and internet sources to get a bigger picture and collect different voices. Your lecturer's one will be the loudest at first, but remember that this is because he's the closest source of knowledge and not one which holds a monopoly over it. iii. Talk it out. If you're anything like me, worries (especially academic ones) might pile up at one point of the semester until they seem to get unbearable. I usually find myself hoarding all the complications, deadlines, the “why-isn't-the-professor-answering-my-mail”s and so on. However, actually speaking about it helps so much. Just getting it out there and telling a friend / parent / pet about it might make you realize how little those worries are or solvable they really are. There's a reason why you are where you are right now: Your brain. Use it to get all the shit together – and if that's not enough, you're surrounded by other working brains which will help you figure this out. (If all else fails, remember that you are, in fact, browsing a website featuring a large student community!) Xx
Attract what you expect 🌸 To change things up a bit, I've attempted a spread arranged by types of tasks rather than days, since it's still semester break and I don't have any real deadlines. Might get a bit more crowded in the following days, it's a work in progress :)
March Week 1 - Semester breaks don't have to mean you're standing still 🌸 Besides my IELTS coming up & tons of stuff to organise and plan, I'll try and keep on top of my bullet journal and the upcoming semester :)
Finally back at my bullet journal and watercolors :) It's far from perfect, but it was so much fun! Despite it being the semester break, it's gonna be a busy month, but I'll keep that for the weekly spreads...
No monday blues for me - 5 / 7 exams down :) Quick coffee break, but my Labour Market Economics notes are already waiting for me. Let's hope we'll all have a lovely and productive day! xx
Friday mood - little snippets of my day :) Finally put the huge Statistics I & II exam behind me today, such a relief that it went well!
Throwback to when I still had time for my bullet journal a few weeks ago - now I’m stuck on studying and revising all day…
Still drinking lots of tea though, so at least there’s that :)
