Thank you for a year full of smiles, corny jokes and more love then I could ever imagine ā¤ļø
I knew I did from that first moment we met. It was⦠Not love at first sight exactly, but - familiarity. Like: Oh, hello, itās you. Itās going to be you.

dear future teachers
DO NOT
FORCE SHY KIDS
TO TALK.
DO NOT
TELL SHY KIDS
THEY NEED TO PARTICIPATE MORE.
DO NOT
MAKE PARTICIPATION
A GRADE.
DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA
HOW HARD IT IS
FOR SOME STUDENTS
TO JUST RAISE THEIR HANDS?
FORCING THEM INTO GROUP PROJECTS
AND MAKING THEM TALK
DOES NOTĀ āTEACH THEM TO BE SOCIAL AND DEVELOP INTO WELL-ROUNDED INDIVIDUALSāĀ
IT SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF THEM.
AND MAKES THEM HATE SCHOOL.
SERIOUSLY.
COLLEGES TOO.
THERE IS NO REASON TO REQUIRE A PARTICIPATION GRADE.
IF IāM MAKING 90ā²S ON ALL MY TESTS/QUIZZES
IT MEANS I KNOW THE DAMN MATERIAL YOU TAUGHT
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHOULD YOU LOWER MY GRADE 10% JUST BECAUSE I DIDNāT TALK ENOUGH.
I SWEAR IF I GET ANOTHERĀ āBā IN A CLASS THAT I EXCELLED IN JUST BECAUSE I DIDNT FEEL LIKE RAISING MY HAND TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS
I MIGHT ACTUALLY KILL U Ā
HANDS DOWN THE BEST SCENE OF ANY TV SHOW EVER
The past few months have just been such a whirl wind for me! I am done with class for awhile and I have started a full time job at an assisted living home (I am like an adult with my own insurance and stuff!!). It is amazing and makes me feel so good doing such good meaningful work that I love! And this handsome man, Brian, has been with me through every step of the way. He has helped keep me grounded and focused and pushes me to try harder and work harder. I have never been more confident in myself and my skills and abilities. He has seen me hit some low point and watched me struggle with some serious stuff. But his faith in me has never wavered. I am beyond grateful to have Brain in my life ā¤ļø for the first time I know what it's like to love someone and to be loved in return š
Iām an adult, but not like a real adult

Also just because youāre not terrified of all of these things or even the majority does not mean youāre faking
