good news, you can! the company’s called Tony’s Chocolonely and their entire purpose is to make slave-free chocolate and reform the chocolate industry.

Whole Foods carries it. If you don’t want to support an Amazon-owned company, World Market carries it. You can also buy it directly from the company. 

It’s the best chocolate I’ve ever had and it’s 100% slave free. Tony’s Chocolonely works really hard to push for transparency within the chocolate industry and actually has and is following an action plan to eliminate slavery within cocoa production. They’re good people who make good chocolate.

I bought a bar of Tony’s salted caramel chocolate and it was literally the best chocolate I’ve ever had. It’s expensive but delicious and for a good cause.

I try to avoid Nestle on principle, but its nigh-impossible since they own so many brands (Gerber, DiGiorno, Purina, Arrowhead, Stouffer’s, things you wouldn’t expect. They got their fingers in a lot of pies).

Tony’s is definitely the most delicious chocolate bar I’ve had in my life. Its rich and creamy without an overpowering sweetness, plus it doesn’t have that pukey taste a lot of American chocolates have. There are other eco-friendly and slave-free chocolates at a premium, but Tony’s is also an incredibly large bar for its price. Like, comically huge. It’s about the size of the Wonka Bar you see in the movies.
