Since this is now a Mormon Skeleton Blog, I wanted to take a moment and introduce you to my two favorite Mormon Skeletons
LAZERos and Camilla Stark (a.k.a. the Desert Prophet) are two Mormon artists and the founders of “The Arch-Hive”, a Mormon art collective. From the Arch-Hive’s site:
The ARCH-HIVE is a collective art network. We are artists, musicians, writers, and thinkers exploring the unique perspectives & peculiarities of Utah, Mormonism, and the American West through the lenses of folk, pop, esoteric, and psychedelic art. The ARCH-HIVE is inspired in part by the mission of the Art and Belief Movement from the 1960s, but with a modern focus. It hopes to create a space for modern Mormon and Mormon-adjacent artists, writers, and thinkers who don’t feel at home in either orthodoxy or secularism.
LAZERos is an anonymous artist who’s work often satirizes popular culture, both in and out of the church, by combining them in amusing ways, for example
He also has a Tumblr blog @mormcore he doesn’t update it too much, but what’s there is really nice and kinda psychedelic.
Camilla is the patron Saint of Goth Mormonism, in my opinion. Lots of skulls.
And also skulls representing a moment during Jesus’ crucifixion
There are other really great artists in the Arch-Hive, but these two are the most skeletal. Go check them out!

My uploads to tumblr seem to have a glitchy appearance (until viewed full size). Until I figure it out or it stops, I’ll be putting things primarily on Instagram.
An anonymous fan submitted this mormcore art for me to share, and I love it.
I will be having my first show at Pioneer Book in Provo on Sept 7th. I’m very excited to show a few older pieces in a larger format, but more excited to debut a series of Deseret/Mormon versions of some iconic album art. The show will take place as part of the Provo Art Stroll, but will remain up all month. Stop by! Prints, stickers, and zines should be available.
