[for @mortemalae ]
It had not exactly been the plan to end up somewhere quite as bleak as this. All Lilé had wanted was somewhere away from the panic and violence of the court. Somewhere she wouldn’t be hunted by faeries or taunted by her king. Somewhere she could actually be an unknown.
(Of course, she had no idea she’d ended up in Hell.)
Slowly, she placed a hand on the hilt of her sword at her belt, gazing around at her surroundings. The air certainly did not smell familiar, nor did any of the creatures she could sense. Hmm. Then this was not Earth. Nor - thank the gods - was it Faerie. Lilé knew she’d have been dead the moment she stepped into Faerie; half breeds were abominations there.
Her shadows swirled protectively around her, skimming across the dusty ground, curious. They could sense a darkness that Lilé had suddenly become very aware of herself. A strange, ancient darkness that was nothing like the insanity of her uncle. No. This was deeper, stronger, heavier, and though it excited her shadows, it made Lilé wary. Very, very wary. Licking her lips in thought, the princess began walking. It would not do to flee, not when this was a place she had never explored. And the sooner she was free of that odd sensation, the better. She doubted the entirety of the realm could be this sinister.

He felt the woman’s presence the moment she entered his domain. Lucifer should have been alarmed at how one was able to gain entry, but he was more intrigued by her presence instead. As if watching from a balcony, the fallen looked down at her from where he sat, though it was just a vision akin to a television screen. My how lost you look. And fragile too. But looks can be deceiving, can’t they, dove? As she approached his quarters, he made no motion to stand or straighten his slouched posture, only opened the door before she entered it.
“You’re a long way from home, fae. Tell me, how did you happen upon my domain?”

Pixie was wandering through the dark, even her mutations couldn’t help her now - granted, if she created the flame in her palm she’d be drawing unnecessary attention. The blonde could barely make her way through the dim area, but eventually bumped into someone who appeared helpful.
“Oh, thank god, someone who can help. Yes, um, I’m trying to find my way back to town? I went walking before sunset and got myself lost, would you be able to help me get back?”

Lucifer smiled, the grin one laced with farce kindness and intrigue.
“One should not be walking the streets so late by themselves. I would be happy to show you the way.”
Lithe fingers rested at the small of her back, ushering her towards the street. The direction he took her was indeed toward the town, but they would not reach their destination.
As they approached a building, the fallen stopped short.
“Tell me, dear. How long have you been able to control the elements? Or--- is it just fire?”

wxndrxder:
Politics. Ro hated politics. For as long as she had been in a place of power it was always necessary to network. Xavier wanted to work on a better image for mutants and being able to talk with people who have some power, and ability to change things, is always a good place to start. But she fucking hated the upper class old men and woman thinking they are better simply because of money. She was a Goddess! She took care of her tribe and not once looked down on them as though they were nothing. She had to step away; she couldn’t talk with them at the moment, and decided to get drink while she tried to calm her nerves.
In the order of her eye she saw the light closes to her flicker at the same time her eyes flashed white. Taking a deep breath she tightening the grip she had on her power by mentally picturing a fist covering her ball of power. She let out long sigh ran her hands down the front of her dark purple dress when she felt it. The hairs on the back of her neck prickled as though someone was staring. She turned looking for the person when she was met with eyes in the corner of the room, and stared back.

As their eyes locked, Lucifer’s lips formed a devilish grin. He stood now, closing the distance between the two of them as if not another soul was in the room. The crowd almost seemed to part exclusively for him-- so was the nature of the power he emanated. When he approached her, he bowed slightly to the goddess he could feel she was and took her hand, placing his lips to her knuckles in a sign of respect.
“Forgive me, Madam. You have power dripping off of you in vast quantities--I only saw it fitting to greet you as the queen you are.”

By the time the man had seated himself across from her, Molly had taken another rather unladylike bite of her sandwich, leaving her no room at all to make an argument. Just rude, if you were to ask her opinion. It wasn’t often that she made time to go out to eat anymore–the shop was starting to pick up a good amount of traffic and with donations coming left and right as people opted to give their belongings to her than try to hold a yard sale, she barely had enough time to eat.
“By all means, make yourself comfortable.” She finally remarked, having swallowed the bulk of her bite. “Not sure if you’re aware, but most people tend to ask things like that before they plant their buns in a seat.” Still, she was curious. Even if sometimes people were overly friendly, they were at the very least friendly, and that counted for something.
She wiped her hands off on her napkin, giving him a small once over. “Was there something I could do for you, buddy?”

Lucifer studied her nonchalant behavior with a curious gaze. Why was he drawn to such an unnerving creature? What about this crass woman drew him to her? The fallen cleared his throat as he responded.
“I feel as if we have met some where before. Could you kindly tell me what your profession is?”
He kept the niceties short and sickeningly sweet-- no need to scare off the other before he had a chance to diagnose his feelings. He wanted nothing more than to shake the ilk that built up in the pit of his stomach at the sight of her, but he could not.
– § –
It was upon the wind, his presence, his very essence– and it was particularly tangible this eve.
Cloaked by the darkness he controlled, the fallen trained keen eyes on each face that passed, studying the visage for any signs of weakness or– excessive strength or power.
Just as he was to move to another vantage point, he caught sight of one very particular individual and his smile turned crooked in the shadows. With the clearing of his throat, he approached them.
