âPermission? Hardly, though some women like that, it can be entertaining not being the predator all the time,â he made a wave of his hand as if to dismiss the idea, âThereâs something about a small frame that can wield so much strength,â of course all of it was a charade, there was rarely a creature outside of an Original that could overpower him in his natural state. âNo one like you though,â he added with an amused smile.Â
He never did pretend to be a complicated creature especially when it came to pleasures he indulged in. Danger excited him and he truly believed Mor was someone exciting, which was why he let the tetra pick at him with carefully crafted words. For the wicked woman, he had the patience of a saintâŚif the saint was a mischievous imp.
âWhatâs not to understand? Animals are simply better than humans,â his eyes lingered on her form as she stood up to stretch, âWerewolves and shapeshifters though, theyâre mostly a curiosity for me.â
Following suit, Damien got up from his seat and languidly moved towards the two men; with the earlier compulsion, they ignored him as they continued to hit each other, their faces bloodied. With boredom etched on his face, the vampire placed his gloved hands on the back of their heads and smashed their faces together, so hard that it crushed the front of their skulls, the features of their faces turned to a bloody mush.
The two men were his fifth and sixth victims since arriving in Red Creek. Time taught him to never spill blood where he lived and yet the town teased him into giving in, its special nature of having all sorts of creatures running about, the strange magic that surrounded it and the seemingly nonchalant attitude people had about death was an aphrodisiac into making the age-old vampire lose control. Blood spattered on his pale cheek and he took out a cigarette and lit it, taking a long drag before he spoke. âI donât know about you darling, but I feel like bathing in blood,â he smirked.
Mor let out a laugh of bewilderment. â-Right, and didnât anyone ever tell you flattery will get you nowhere? Or does that actually work on women...â Mor quipped, raising an eyebrow with simpering smile, before tilting her head at what followed, â-Iâm not saying I disagree, but theyâre one-and-the-same, if you ask me.â She rolled her eyes as Damien moved towards the men, and didnât flinch at the blood shower that followed, eyes flickering down to the bloodied bodies before back up to his.
â-Always creating such a mess,â Mor said with a sigh. She reached a hand up to wipe at the splatters across his face, before turning it to inspect her now crimson fingertips with tired, uninterested eyes. â-Whyâd you have to do that?â Her question came not as aversion to his act, but more disappointment that heâd put an end to it all so abruptly. Sure...she had always found the strength possessed by his kind impressive - truth be told, she was nothing if not a little envious of it - but she was slightly begrudged to have had no participation in the mensâ deaths. Though sheâd made a few others since her move to the town - it was, after all, her greatest source of pleasure...But at the proposition that followed, the disappointment faded and Morâs eyes instead widened with excitement, and she bought her bloodied thumb to her mouth, sucking on it thoughtfully at the idea. Over the centuries she had developed a...taste for blood - small quantities, nevertheless - not because she found the taste all that delectable (though she sometimes wished she were a vampire), but more because the act of tasting anotherâs blood felt so...victorious. âWell - now youâre talking, Damien...Two of my favourite things.â
