“The Way We Remember It” Re-Issue on Vinyl, Know Hope Records, and a show in Philadelphia
3 years ago I made a record under the name Mosey called The Way We Remember It. Soon after, not only was it released on Kick Rock Invasion in Japan, but I also started playing drums for Panic! At The Disco. I didn’t have much time to figure out Mosey’s trajectory before I was on a completely new journey. One that I’m still on, and enjoying more every day.
Now I’m proud to announce that on October 14th, The Way We Remember It will see it’s official release on vinyl in the US, on Know Hope Records. As well there will be a show at The Barbary in Philadelphia on the eve of the release date.
What started out as a collection of unfinished music has taken on a life of it’s own, and I couldn’t have planned it better if I tried. Mosey to me is slow and steady, and there’s plenty more where this comes from. In the meantime, please enjoy this brief series of living takeaways I call, The Way We Remember It.

Panic!, Japan, and the in-betweens
We’ve been away for a while, but it certainly hasn’t been for no good reason.
At the beginning of August, I took an opportunity to drum tech for Panic! At The Disco. This was a very tough decision for me considering all the hard work that had gone into the record, the formation of Mosey as a band, as well as the direct involvement of others around me making their own sacrifices for this cause. In the end, everyone was very supportive of my decision to see where this opportunity may lead.
As it turned out, after only 5 shows into the tour I was asked to take position as drummer for Panic! At The Disco, while continuing to tech for myself. I had one night and one half-day during show prep to learn how to play 15 songs or risk having to put the tour on hold for rehearsals. After 7-8 hours of air drumming in my hotel room I came through that first night in Nashville and it has been non-stop ever since. I finished out the headlining tour and then went straight into the Fall Out Boy tour. This was followed by a week of record release shows and TV appearances. In fact, just last week we flew to Russia to perform on the Miss Universe pageant where we got to perform “Dream On” with Steven Tyler. Currently, we're finishing out a tour of Europe and the UK.
Amidst all of the excitement with Panic!, I received word from our good friend, Masa, of Kick Rock Invasion in Japan, that they’d like to sign Mosey to officially release our record, “The Way We Remember It.” Needless to say our answer was a resounding “Yes!” And now, we’d like to announce that the record will be released in Japan this Wednesday, November 20, 2013, as an exclusive hard copy with a beautiful 8-page booklet. While I’m off with Panic!, we have faith that the record will do some walking and talking on its own in one of my favorite countries, Japan.
I can never say what each next day will bring. I’ve already been flipped on my head a handful of times over the past 5 months and it doesn’t show much signs of slowing down. For now, I will continue to take it day by day, give my best, and be open to whatever may come next.
As for Mosey… To be honest, Mosey started out without a name at all. It was just a handful of music that I really wanted to make the best it can be. For that simple intention, whatever we may call it, it’s not really something that can be stopped. There may be time in-between or times when things are charging forward, but in no way have we given up on the deep-seeded drive to continually create music and content we can be proud of.
For now, though, let’s agree to continue to call it Mosey, so you always know where to find us.
Thank you.
- Dan and Mosey

Dan & Mosey
Hi, my name is Dan. This is the introduction, or biography so to speak, for my band, Mosey. The Short Story: I’ve been writing and recording music in one form or another since I was 12 years old. It had always been something I “just did” and I can’t honestly say I ever gave it a fair chance to reach its full potential. But recently, with an extra bit of confidence, a series of liberating events, and an unwavering determination, I decided now is the time and finally made a full-length record of my own. And around it, formed a new band called Mosey. Here is the first song from that record…
Click here for the ”Long Story” Our goal is concentration, dedication, determination, consistency, confidence, and, without fail, an absolute positive longview with the music being the foundation that we stand our ground upon. Together we named the band Mosey, in honor of taking life as it comes, staying positive, and moving on. It’s a little over a year now since I recorded the first kick drum, and it has gone from a series of personal challenges to a record full of open connections to be made with whomever comes across it and feels drawn to it. To a place for my closest friends to fit into when they were looking for something bigger to be part of. I see so clearly now that if I was not initially led-on, I never would’ve organized all this music, or booked time [in the studio], or recorded anything like this… maybe ever… and therefore might not have the relationship and purpose I feel now with my friends. And now, with the release of this first song, it is officially bigger than us. From nothing, to all that we have, this is your beginning. You are now the catalyst to what happens next, to where we go from here. This is our invitation to you to become an integral part of the rest of our story….
