           Hearing the door to the greenhouse creak ever so slightly, the brunette tilted his watering can up, stopping the flow for just a second before he continued watering. He didn’t even bother to look and see who had sauntered in.

              “The professor is out right now, open office hours aren’t until later, you know.”

♛   ] Bad weather could only ever be a mild inconvenience, but some extra food rest and entertainment never hurt. Besides, he should want to keep his cargo in good shape. “I am most grateful for your hospitality. Living all the way out here... you must not be fond of visitors.”

Over time, The Horseman has amassed quite some wealth through his trade. Initially he found that he had little use for it, for he was always travelling and food was all too easy to come by. When the industrialisation started, he realised that sooner or later he too would have to change his ways. He began to invest in several estates scattered over the globe and invented the Chaput family, consisting of himself and a handful of people who somewhat resembled his likeness, to serve as a cover. In modern times, he still rides horseback quite often, but only for recreational purposes.
