The three stages of fern growth 🌿

I recently drew a picture for an artbook about plants and their meanings. Since the pre-orders are closed, I can finally show it!

According to the dictionary of the Victorian era, the fern symbolizes magic, mystery and shelter

I love ferns very much, and I’m especially fascinated by the process of their growth, when the leaf, rolled up like a snail, gradually unwinds and becomes a familiar shape

I also like humanizing plants, so I couldn't resist this time either. Through identifying a fern with a person, I wanted to show the "magic" of growing up, in the process of which we gain confidence and a sense of "home" in ourselves
