Kyogre Shower - Steven & Tate
Steven braced himself again against the huge burst of wind and energy, “Tche,” without another word he whistled for his Metagross and jumped on once again, “Get on,” he spoke to Tate and watched as the smaller leader climbed onto the large pokemon.
"We’re gonna get to the bottom of this."
Tate could feel his skin rise as they rode Metagross back our to the sea. The air around them felt thick, and he was not sure if he was feeling excited or anxious. Whatever was going on was dangerous, the meteor shower was still dancing over head which meant they were in danger still. And that echoing screech that kept resounding was unnerving enough to make Tate think about just going back home.
But he swallowed his fears and tried to collect himself. And looked down into the water he could see large schools of pokemon swarming around frantically like they were confused and trying to escape something.
Looking closer he could see a glowing from down deep, and it appeared to Tate to be the source of what was causing the pokemon their confusion.
"What do you think that is?", he asked Steven, pointed to the glowing mass.
Almost as if the mass could sense Tate point at it, the light it was giving off flickered on and off and it began to rise up towards the surface. At least the light was, and as it pierced the surface it unfurled itself and cast out a large aurora like aura around Tate and Steven.

Kyogre Shower - Steven & Tate
"Get in closer, Metagross," Steven ordered his floating pokemon as he held onto his Aron tighter. Picking two spheres from his sweatpants pocket, he recalled Skarmory and Aron. His steel bird partner let out a whine as he was curious as to what the glowing green rock was.
"Sorry," the Champion quietly apologizes and turns his attention back to the glowing mystery that sunk to the bottom of the sea. He was really curious about it, Steven was about to jump into the water when his Metagross floated them higher, away from the water.
"What?" The bluette questioned, eyebrow hitching. His partner let out a low grunt as if to tell Steven of that danger that was below them. The steel/psychic pokemon felt something menacing about the object that fell from the sky and it was not about to let it’s trainer face danger.
"What should we do then?" Steven asked, sitting criss-cross on top of Metagross, "We can’t just leave it there, it’s disrupting the water pokemon. It is my duty to make sure all is well in Hoenn you know." A strong wind picked up and gave Steven shivers. He tugged on his hood over his head and pulled on the strings slightly, making sure he was warm. The last thing he wanted was a cold.
He looked around, golden eyes scanning his surroundings when he locked onto something on a nearby cliff.
"A civilian? Metagross, there’s someone over there, let’s get them to safety before we further investigate." His partner floated the Champion to the ground where he broke off into a dash, running up to a boy that seemed really familiar.
"Hey kid, you really shouldn’t—" he paused, "oh, its Tate, what are you doing here?"
Tate was relieved to see that it was Steven who he saw out in the water and that he seemed unharmed from being in the vicinity of where the meteor should have landed. He was still panting from having almost ran off the cliff though, and was trying to catch his breath before he explained himself to Steven. So gesturing over to where Steven was floating on his Metagross he began to make small grunting noises and flail his arm loosely.
"The...", He managed to get out.
"The... m-meteo-", he muttered but was cut off as a piercingly loud screech echoed around them.
It appeared to have come from above them but Tate just grabbed his ears and looked around to see what it was coming from. He only managed to see a green blur slam into the water quickly and cause a large wave to come crashing against the coast where he and Steven were standing. Tate jumped away from the coming water as it slammed against the shore and set a mist of water showering over him.
Looking out at the sea he rapidly blinked his eyes in disbelief and said, "Another meteorite?!"

Lucas couldn’t help but smile a bit as he listened to why the boy had traveled all the way from Hoenn to Sinnoh. Gardenia was a popular gym leader among groups of teenagers, so she was often out shopping or eating with her fans and admirers.
"Heh, that’s Gardenia for you. She’s probably in Hearthome with a few of her friends shopping for a new dress," he explained with a slight chuckle. "She’s run into an enraged Muk recently, and you can guess how that turned out."
He noticed Tate studying the statue before them, a giant monument dedicated to the Temporal Pokemon, Dialga. Tate’s Reuniclus seemed to have calmed down a bit from the excited state it was in before, as it was simply perched on top of the head looking off into the distance.
It wasn’t something he had given any prior thought to, but it was interesting to see someone from Hoenn in Sinnoh with a Pokemon originating from Unova. Granted, with the current technology available to Trainers, this wasn’t an impossible feat, but it always amused him to see such diversity between a Trainer and his Pokemon.
"Hmm?" he responded, caught off by Tate’s question. "Oh this thing? It’s a physical representation of Dialga, one of the legendary Pokemon in Sinnoh. I believe it most closely represents Kyogre and Groudon where you’re from." Lucas looked up toward the head of Dialga and continued, "Legend has it that it’s somewhere out there still watching over time. I’m actually in the middle of researching it in more detail, but I’ve yet to actually find any leads as to where it might be."
He let out a heavy sigh.
"And my bike won’t be fixed for a week, so that sets me back a ton… Ah - sorry, I didn’t mean to dump all that on you! I’m just a little frustrated."
Tate shuttered a little at hearing Kyogre and Groudon's names. They had almost destroyed all of Hoenn after being awoken from their slumber a few years ago. Tate and his sister were locked up in the observatory hoping that the tidal storm would not wash Mossdeep away.
He looked at Lucas and said, "If Dialga is anything like Kyogre and Groudon then it is very dangerous..."
Tate was trying to be serious but it seemed like his Reuniclus had started to float down from the statues head, upside down of course, and was hovering just behind Tate wondering what it was that he was talking about.
"Those pokemon did serious damage to Hoenn when they were awoken...", Tate continued.
Reuniclus' eyes widened as he listened in on what his trainer was saying. Then looked up at the statue and began to swirl around like a hitmontop and fly over Tate's head and right towards Lucas again. Luckily though, Tate managed to recall his pokemon before it slammed into Lucas, again.

Tiny Catastrophes || Sapphire + Tate
Giggling, she gave a small bow. “It’s alright,” she said, reassuring with a smile. “The life of a Gym Leader must be pretty hectic, there’s no way you could possibly remember every trainer’s name. I’m Sapphire.”
Listening intently, the brunette refrained from laughing out loud at the boy’s confession. “Wow, so you’ve never ventured past Hoenn?” It shocked her to think that someone who seemed as (other)worldly as one of Mossdeep’s twins had never seen regions beyond their homeland. Then again, when considering their lifestyles, the two were worlds apart: Sapphire spent her days roaming aimlessly in pursuit of adventure, whereas Tate surely had loads of responsibilities with a career of being a Gym Leader.
"So far, Unova’s been a pretty enjoyable place, although I haven’t seen much of it yet," Sapphire took to pacing, mentally listing off the places she’d yet to see. "I’ve only been twice before, so there’s a lot left to see! One of those locations being…" She began to speak in a softer tone, not to alarm the nurse or attendants in the otherwise-empty Pokemon Center.
"…The Giant Chasm. Surely, you’ve heard the myths? Those are what brought you here, am I right?”
Taken back a little from Sapphire's sudden change in tone got Tate interested in what she saying. Myths?, Tate had no idea what she was talking about though; must have been something big if she assumed he knew what she was talking about.
"Myths?", Tate whispered, a little confused, while cupping his hand over his mouth.
Each region does have its folklore, but Sapphire was acting rather sketchy about it. Could it be the reason that everyone in this town was practically hiding at night. That there was some scary pokemon out there just waiting to eat them all up.
The idea of some large, scary, and trainer eating pokemon began to make Tate feel a little anxious. But he knew he was letting his mind get the better of him.
Roar from Afar II Lucas and Tate
Upon hearing Mossdeep, Lucas’ eyes widened in both surprise and awe. He’d read about the island city once before, an isolated little area in Hoenn that was home to a rather famous space station. But while he knew about the famous landmark and where the city was located, he had somehow missed the fact that the boy he was speaking with was one of the famed Psychic Gym Leaders of Mossdeep.
His attention shifted to the Reuniclus that had grabbed his hand and resumed its careless spinning. He couldn’t help but let out a smile in response to the Pokemon’s natural playfulness and friendly nature.
Turning back to Tate, he responded, “It’s fine! Your Reuniclus seems to be enjoying itself, and I’m sure it didn’t mean to run into me.” He looked back at the dancing Pokemon, and was reminded of the hyperactive nature of the ones that belonged to Barry (which he always found peculiar, because they just reflected his personality so well).
"So if you’re all the way from Hoenn, what are you doing in a place like this? Eterna hardly seems like a place for a vacation spot."
Tate smiled as Lucas inquired about why he was in Eterna. Then glancing up at Reuniclus, who had landed on top of the statue and was looking out at the city, said, "I originally came here to speak with the gym leader here. But she seems to have left for a bit, leaving me with nothing to do at the moment."
Tate's eyes moved down from his pokemon and to the large statue they were all next to. The large and majestic looking pokemon it displayed was foreign to him, though it looked as if it was very powerful.
"Hmm", he hummed to himself as he starred at it.
He began to think of the legendary pokemon of Hoenn, Kyogre and Groudon, and how everyone knew about them; through fable or encounter. If this statue was of a legendary pokemon, and not some abstract artist expression on something pretentious like time or what have you, then it was likely that the locals of the town knew about it.
Looking back at Lucas, Tate said, "Are you from here? If so, do you know anything about this statue here?
A Wing and a Prayer II Tate and Winona
She received the notice of Lilycove’s summer tournament by mail, for that was the only way to reach the denizens of Fortree who favored more traditional approaches to communication. The idea of missing work to partake in a competition sounded undesirable at first, and had it not been for the slightest detail of mandatory participation— she would have declined it in a heartbeat.
But alas, the Pokemon League required all gym leaders and elites to attend the celebratory event. So with a heavy sigh, she agreed and found herself scheduling a flight to the neighboring city.

Because they still had a little time before the competition was scheduled to begin, Winona told Altaria to land just outside of Lilycove where they could take a little breather before the big event. Whenever she was near the coast, she always made sure to admire the gorgeous scenery. It was a refreshing change from living under the cover of greenery.
Taking in a deep breath, she sat down on a cliff overlooking the ocean and smiled to herself. A wind blew in from the east, carrying the scent of salt water along with it. Winona gently petted Altaria’s head, causing the flying-type to hum softly in encouragement. Altaria’s calming aura seemed to wash over Winona’s tense form, relaxing her muscles and easing her nerves.
Suddenly the sound of footsteps caught her attention, and she turned around to see a familiar sight. A fellow gym leader, who looked unusual without his sibling counterpart, Liza. During league conferences, she would always see them glued together— but that is to be expected, when you’re twins.
Waiting until he was near, she called out to him, voice traveling along with the breeze until reaching its desired destination.
"Hello, Tate. I suppose you’re partaking in this competition as well?"
"You’re welcome to join Altaria and I," She began, voice kind and welcoming, "That is, unless you have other plans." Lilac orbs watched him curiously, was he going to the Safari Zone? It wouldn’t surprise her if he planned on doing so, because it was only a couple yards away.
Tate stretched his arms as he tried to wake himself up. Managing to fall asleep on the short ferry ride tucked up against the hard body of his Solrock left him feeling a little stiff. His muscles contracted as he let out a large yawn; Solrock mirrored the yawn as they both stepped off the dock and into Lilycove.
It had been sometime since he had been in the city, which was one of the largest tourist destinations in Hoenn, and everything was just unfamiliar enough to where he felt he needed a map. So after grabbing one from the welcome center at the ferry docks, he located the shopping center that the registration was being held in; which happened to be a good bit away from the docks he was at. Since he had arrived early with the idea of going to the safari zone first anyway, he figured he would just head over there first rather than traverse across the city just to walk all the way back to the other side.
"I wonder what kind of pokemon are in the safari zone", Tate asked to Solrock as they left Lilycove, "surely there must be some psychic type pokemon there we could add to our team."
Solrock seemed to nod, as if reassuring Tate of their future teammate, but was acting a little jump as they made their way towards the safari. The route they were walking on was inhabited by shuppets and duskulls, which were making Solrock a little nervous. Upon noticing his pokemon's hesitant movements though, Tate said, "Let's look out towards Mt. Pyre."
His sister and Tate were in charge of watching the orbs which laid at the top of the mountain with Phoebe. There were a beautiful show case of power and balance in the world, and he figured that Solrock would appreciate the psychic spectacle and see how the ghosts of Mt. Pyre work together with that energy. They were walking up a cliff side to get a good viewing of the mountain when a voice warmly greeting him.
It was Winona, who offered her and her pokemon's companionship, though Tate noticed that the safari zone's entrance was just behind her. Sensing she may have suspicions about what he was doing up there, he quickly recalled Solrock and smiled at her warmly.
"H-hey Winona", he managed to spit out, "I-I was actually heading over to the s-safari zone."
He glanced over to the mountain in the distance and said, "Want to come with me?"

"Come back in a week or so, I’ll have it ready by then."
"A week? Can’t you get it done any quicker than that? I’ll pay you extra, if it’s money you want then-"
"I don’t need your money, pal. A week’s what I’m givin’ you, so you can either take that offer, or try to get around with this fucked up bike!”
"But-"
“SCRAM!”
Wanting to avoid a physical confrontation, Lucas quickly left the Bicycle Shop. ”The usual owner would’ve gotten it done faster…”, he thought to himself.
His lack of a bicycle prevented him from continuing south down to Oreburgh City, which was a huge obstacle in his personal mission. He had heard from people that there lived an old man in Oreburgh that knew a lot about ancient Pokemon lore, especially about the legendary Pokemon of time, Dialga.
Lucas sighed in exasperation, but decided that there was little else he could do. He would just wait the week and then proceed from there on. Besides, if anything, this gave him an opportunity to do more individual research on the Pokemon he so desperately wanted to meet and learn more about. He had seen Dialga once in Professor Rowan’s reports, and since had been intrigued by the ethereal powers of this one entity.
He made his way towards the eastern part of town, where the statue of the ancient Pokemon had been erected many years prior. If he recalled correctly, there was an inscription that could provide some insight as to what exactly to do. Upon reaching the statue itself, Lucas slowly made his way around the monument to find the plaque, when he collided with something and found himself falling onto his back.
"Ah-" he cried out, wincing in pain as he removed his cap to rub his head. Looking up, he discovered that the culprit was a Reuniclus, with its Trainer hovering over him, asking if he was fine. Lucas could sense that they were both apologetic over the incident, which was enough to keep him calm.
"I’m… I’m fine, a little fall like that shouldn’t do much. Took me by surprise though!" he responded, with a warm smile on his face. Lucas stood up and used an underarm to momentarily hold his hat. With one hand still gently rubbing his head, he extended his free one to the boy for a handshake.
"I’m Lucas."
Tate was very relieved to hear that the boy, Lucas, had not been hurt by his Reuniclus. The amorphous pokemon often gets carried away with itself and loses track of its surroundings; usually only bumping into trees or walls rather than people.
But looking down at the other boys outstretched hand, Tate was a little confused as to what he was supposed to do. He heard that the people of other regions such as Sinnoh and Unova shake hands rather than bow to each other, but this was the first time he felt required to do so since leaving Hoenn. So he hesitantly stretched his hand out to grasp the other boy's; saying, "Uh... it's nice to meet you. I am Tate of Mossdeep city."
Reuniclus then spun up from behind Tate as he grasped Lucas' hand and smiled. The pokemon's eyes darting over the boy's body to inspect for any injuries and then happily sang out, "Niclus!", when he saw that Lucas was unharmed.; then began to return to the joyful spinning he was doing before.
"Well I'm glad you are alright", Tate said with a smile, "Reuniclus gets carried away sometimes and doesn't look where he's going."

Tate had been walking all day to arrive in Eterna city. It was a quite little place, rich with history and Unovan culture; the kind of place Tate liked be visit best. He had originally gone to the small city to meet with the gym leader there, but she seemed to be out at the time which left Tate wonderinng what to do next.
So to rest his feet, Tate was leaded up against a large statue of some kind of pokemon. It was a very old, tarnished by rain and time, and was in the center of the city's activity. Squatting down to the ground Tate rummaged though his bag and took out a pokeball, then lightly touching the button on it released his Reuniclus.
"Ah", Tate said she his legs relaxed and asked his pokemon, "What do you think of this place?"
The blob-like pokemon just happily spun in the air around the statue and breathed in deeply. Reuniclus loved the fresh air of the forest land, something it did not get much of back home in Mossdeep.
Tate laughed as his pokemon spun around the statue in joy. Right until it spun right into someone and took them both down to the ground with a large thud.
"Oh no!", Tate said as he stood up to see if everyone was alright, "You OK?"
Kyogre Shower - Steven & Tate
Tate found himself dozing off as he tried to pay attention to the live news stream on his computer. He had spent the day at the observatory watching as the astrologists were bustling around in anticipation for a meteor shower that was going to be visible over Hoenn. The shower had caused some fuss though, as it meant that the space center needed to ensure that their current orbiting shuttle and its crew would be safe from any harm. Tate had decided to stay up watching their news feed to see if his father, a member on the shuttle, was going to be safe; though most of the city were gathering together to watch the celestial display. The busy observatory was making him anxious so he decided to separate himself and observe things on his own.
Tate wiped the sleep from his eyes as touched his mousepad to keep the computer from falling asleep; squinting to see if there was any new update on the shower.

Relieved, Tate happily pushed himself up from the computer and looked out his window. The shower was going to start up soon, and knowing that his father was safely away from harm he decided to go out and see it for himself. He grabbed a small backpack, his camera, a few pokeballs and headed out to find a good observation spot.
There were so many cars outside, all trying to drive up to the top of Mossdeep to the open flats. They were all snaking through the streets from the ferry dock up the hillside. Seemed a lot of people had come in from Lilycove, Sootoplis and even other regions for the event; though that made the most popular viewing spots very crowded. Tate did not want to have to deal with large crowds by himself, so he decided to instead head towards Shoal with hopes of it being a little more private.
He arrived there just as the first meteors started to streak across the sky. To his luck he seemed to be the only person there, and he quickly took out his camera and started snapping some photos. It was beautiful, the streaming tails burning up across the great Kyoger constellation. Tate thought his pokemon would enjoy the celestial display as well and sent then out.
“Come on out guys!”, he said as he reached into his backpack, sending out Solrock, Reuniclus, and Xatu.
Upon release though, his pokemon became very tense and alert. This concerned Tate, as he expected them to be excited about the meteor shower. Solrock and Xatu got close to Tate as if protecting him while Reuniclus took lead and squared off to the east of them; all looking out in the distance at the falling meteors. Tate looked up as well and saw a meteor was falling off into the sea close to where they were.
Steven woke up with a start as something heavy crashed onto his stomach. The slumbering silverette let out a cry of surprise laced with pain as his dull golden eyes snapped open. His lips parted to make incoherent noises as he pushed himself up with his elbows. He stared down at the cause of the blooming bruise on his stomach and growled.
"What do you want now Aron?" Steven’s voice came out groggy with sleep something that didn’t happen often since he’s an insomniac. The only time he does sleep is when he’s so bored and has nothing better to do. "Is it time to feed you?" He questioned himself and the shiny pokemon. Red beady eyes stared back at him then nudged its head to the living room where Steven could hear the t.v set that was turned on. The pale haired man didn’t recall ever turning on the television and guessed it was one of his pokemon that turned it on.
"What is it, boy?" Steven crooned to the baby of his team. Aron hopped off of him and raced to the living room, Steven followed shortly after rubbing his sore stomach. Sauntering into the large entertainment room, golden eyes scanned the room seeing that all his pokemon were out, staring intently at the screen. "What’s up guys?" The lanky man called out and was soon enveloped in a glowing blue aura. He was gently lifted off of the floor and floated gently to the leather black couch in front of his flat screen. "You really needn’t do that, Metagross. I can walk to the couch myself." He patted the cold surface of the pyschic pokemon’s head and then turned his attention to the t.v.

The explosion from the meteor's impact was loud, like nothing Tate had ever heard before. A combination of cracking rock and crashing waves sounded out across Shoal and out to the sea. Tate was worried about the safety of his pokemon; while he knew that they were trying to protect him, it was not safe for any of them to be out if large meteors were landing so close to them.
He quickly recalled them to their pokeballs in order to protect them from any possible harm and tucked them away into his backpack. As he zipped up the bag though,Tate heard another horrible sound echo across the air; like a screech coming from the heavens. His heart began to beat rapidly as he thought of what he should do. It would take too long to run back to Mossdeep and staying outside was not an option. With little thought, Tate decided to run into the cave systems on the island and wait out the meteor shower. But the closest entrance was in the direction of the impact.
Tate nervously swallowed his idea and began chewing on his lower lip. He had no time to waste though, and mustered up the courage to start running over there. Though he was not looking where he was going and almost ran right off a cliff into the sea.
"That was close," he whispered to himself, grabbing his heart to make sure it was still beating.
That is when Tate noticed someone out in the water, or rather floating over the water. Judging by the metagross the person was on top of Tate guessed that it was Steven, but what was he looking at in the water?

Sapphire, quickly, rushed from the seating area and up to the boy with eyes full of wonder. “Wow, so it is you!” She exclaimed, moving her hands in all sorts of ways to express her utter shock. “I had no idea you traveled out and about from Hoenn! This really is an surprise!”
She couldn’t help but to feel nostalgic upon the encounter; although her Gym Challenge was far a thing of the past, her memory hadn’t erased the feelings of earning each and every single badge before finally reaching Ever Grande City. The Gym on Mossdeep had given her a rather incredible challenge: Tate, and his twin Liza, wreaked havoc on her party, even knocking out Sapphire’s precious Blaziken — something no other Gym Leader had accomplished during her travels.
"What brings you to Unova?" She spoke, a little softer, hoping the boy hadn’t forgotten her face after all of the years in between their last battle.
Tate was a little startled as someone came running up to him from the seating area. The girl seemed very familiar, but a name did not come to him right away, as her energetic greetings were similar to a trainer he had battled in Mossdeep years ago.
He remembered how brilliantly she had fought against the doubles match she had gone through with his sister and him. She was actually one of the few trainers to defeat them on their first attempt, almost everyone is run off to go train up north in Shoal or along the coastlines.
"Uh... Hi there", Tate said, unsure of how to react without offending the girl, "you seem very familiar... but I don't recall your name to be honest."
He then nervously said, "I... I'm here in Unova on an exploration. I... I've never been outside of Hoenn before... and my family thought it best for me to journey through a new region."
Tiny Catastrophes || Sapphire + Tate
Lacunosa Town — A town where all honor old customs, living as methodically as clockwork. Certainly the type of place Sapphire had heard only through stories told from long ago.
The rich aura of folklore still shrouded the twilit streets however, which were as deserted as the legends would’ve predicted. “Wow, so people really do believe these stories,” she muses, trading glances between buildings, as she and Blakizen roam for a few more moments. Hearing the myths as a young adult and no longer a child intrigued her a great deal, prompting the girl to make an appearance in the Unovan town. She simply had to see for herself what the stories always spoke of.
Upon reaching the Pokemon Center — the only well-lit building she’d come across — Sapphire watches closely as a figure emerges through the automatic doors. At first shocked to see another person, she stops dead in her tracks when she notices the oriental garb. Immediately, the patterns hearken back her memories. “….Tate!”
"Such a strange and eerie place...", Tate said to himself as he wandered through a dark and seemingly abandoned town as he explored the Unova region. His family said it would be good for him to explore other areas, get out and smell the roses; if anything to get him to leave the house at least.
Tate found it strange that of all places on earth, he finds a little place that seemed to share his anxious nature about leaving home. Though it does make him feel rather uneasy, so he decides to try and find somewhere to stay for the night.
Luckily it seemed the pokemon center was still open, surely he would be able to find some rest there. Good thing the pokemon league has commerce over the pokemon centers and not this strange place. He approached the automatic doors and read the sign as he entered the center, "Lacunosa Town Pokemon Center."
The town's name was still on his lips as he entered the building, "Lacunosa...", but he was shocked to hear his name as he came in.
"Who could possibly know my name?", Tate muttered as he glanced around the room.
