i understand why. I UNDERSTAND WHY. but i hate how rivals’ character trailers make them look unstoppable. it’s always a vs ai match, nobody is aiming at the new character, and their team is playing perfectly around them.

show me cyclops footage in a comp match, i wanna see his moves in a balanced environment. i wanna see cool plays in actual matches. i think that would provide a lot more realistic and more valuable examples of their abilities.

for example in cyclops’ trailer, he does his ult, then the bots just stand there and take it. i couldn’t tell whether the characters themselves exploded, or the area cyclops hit the ground exploded, BECAUSE THEY JUST STOOD THERE.

This is literally what people are talking about when they say AI will be used to mainstream widely held bigotry. LLMs are trained on frequency and probability -> straight relationships are more well represented in the dataset -> straight pronouns and terms become the "correct" normal.

This is a form of backdoor bigotry from both normative facts (there are more straight than gay relationships) and well represented bigoted beliefs (men are superior to women).

Combine this with the mass of people inclined to believe (and being encouraged to believe) that if AI says and does something it must be correct

So many anti-science (and particularly, anti-vax) people apply their diet and orthorexia culture to medicine. No understanding of chemistry, no research into why that ingredient is in there, what it is doing to help make the vaccine safe and effective and what amount would make it toxic to the human body. They will be like “Oh my god, there is hydrochloric acid in there! I’m not going to research into why it is in there (in small amounts as a PH stabilizer), it’s hydrochloric acid (the human body creates it naturally) and they’re trying to inject this into our children!”

Unironically, I saw someone say to avoid citric acid in food products (it’s a common preservative and acidifier, very safe in moderation, occurs naturally in fruits and vegetables) because it is made of black mold. Which is partially correct, Aspergillus niger produces high amounts of citric acid when fed properly BUT the mold is completely filtered out of the final refined product. SO MANY FOOD PRODUCTS ARE MADE WITH MOLD, this one doesn’t have actual mold in it, you are fearmongering about the evils of mold while it lives all around us all the time!

IT Support here: FUCK the Dell Pro 14. Two laptops had their fucking RAM die and corrupt the OS. I sent both out to Dell for repairs (warranty) and they couldn’t be fucking bothered to check the drives. Nooo leave that to me.
