hi i know i have literally no followers here but im posting on every social i have in hopes of gaining any traction.
my very good friend and their partner are in an impossible situation right now. their partner, rosemary, is 22 and disabled. they are an organized abuse survivor, and have been trying to get out of their families home. they were recently directly threatened by said family, and were no longer able to safely remain where they were, under threat of being “taken away”.
my friend went to go get them, but due to several unforeseen events, they weren’t able to get a hotel in the place they’ve ended up. they need $250 by tomorrow, March 31st. i do not have this money readily available, and so i am asking for help. i have attached their re entry with some information and payment details. if you can help, please do. these two people are some of the kindest individuals i’ve ever known. my friend is also black, which makes them staying out in the open without a hotel even more dangerous for them. if you can assist at all, please do, even if it’s just by reblogging this post. thank you.

-dont tell your boss youre adhd/autism/depression/suicidal. dont trust your coworkers with that. you NEVER know how people will take it and its none of their business
-train your pets to go to the front door when they hear a fire alarm

Storms thiroid levels are EIGHT TIMES too high and I need to take her back to the vet in a month, sooner if she takes a turn. We’ve doubled her thyroid medication, and I have to take her in by the second week of May at the latest to see if this helped and do an Xray to try and rule out any potential cancer due to the level being so high while she’s on medication. I’m monitoring her quality of life at this point, not quantity after today’s information.

Storm has saved my life hundreds of times. She knows tricks like spin, sit, and scream. She knows self harm prevention. When I truly had no human being who loved me in my life, I had her. When my husband died in 2019 I had her and we grieved him together. She came with me 2000 miles when we finally got free from my mother’s abuse. I wouldn’t have made it to 15 let alone 26 without her.
When it comes to my Storm, I owe it to her to throw out any dignity or pride I have for her benefit. I understand that I have an unhealthy attachment to her, and I know a part of myself I’ll never be able to get back will die when she dies. I owe it to her to make sure she doesn’t suffer for my selfishness. I’ll eat the crickets, ghost peppers, and whatever else you’d want if it means she gets whatever she needs to be comfortable until then.
I know that’s a lot of money to just ask for and I’m reaching out to any organization that may even potentially help, I’ll keep a count of what’s paid for in the notes.
Anything extra, or if the X-rays show cancer and we forgo the lab work, is going to go into an account specifically for her (hopefully) at home euthanasia, cremation, return, and urn. I can’t be unprepared if it’s sudden or if she does have cancer, that wouldn’t be fair to her. I can’t be here begging for money in the vets instead of saying goodbye if that happens.
I got her labs back, she is halving the nighttime dose and that means I need another 17$ to cover the new script as her high dose doesn’t have a cut line. I also have to retest her levels in 2 months, Then we can treat her thyroid permanently. That means I will start gathering donations now, so there is time to cover all the vet bills. My payment plan to be able to go to this vet at all is 110$ Every 28th, not including these extra tests. If I hadn’t signed up i would have needed 2 grand upfront. It’s gotten to the point I feel guilty for needing to purchase medication for myself
