There was an overhaul at work and Percy considered putting in extra time at the Ministry for that. Some sense snapped inside even him to realize he needed some room and a break from work. Percy knew when he was working himself too thin and besides, he had been invited to the Burrow. It was the week and he wasn’t sure what would be expected, but hopefully it would be quick enough for him to return to work either at the office or his own home. When he got there, he fell into conversation with his mother and before he knew it, time had slipped by.
Percy had stood up and felt accosted to stay. A roast meant nothing to anyone else but Percy knew that his mother’s intuition. It was her saying for him to stay and his face collapsed. “Mummy, I really do need to get back,” Percy argued softly, but after one pause he complied. “It can’t be longer than an hour. I still have a list of…responsibilities…”

Molly worried about all of her children. She was a mother after all. It was her job to worry about them. Especially now that they weren’t under her watchful eye at all times. Now that they’d all left the nest, she had to do twice the work to make sure that they were alright. One of the ones she worried the most about was Percy. He took onto much at the Ministry. He rarely complained when something was bothering him and Molly knew that eventually he would get stressed. She didn’t want him to get hurt.
“Please?” Molly asked Percy, giving him the motherly look that she knew he wouldn’t be able to ignore. She smiled and pressed a kiss to his forehead when he agreed and directed him towards the table. “Sit and tell me about how everything is going, darling,” Molly directed as she waved her wand and magically began plating the dinner.
