"Miss Freecss we need to discuss Gon test score."
"His test score?" She didn’t know he was even taking a test. "What test? Do you mean the Hunter Exam?"
Shows her Gon horrible math score. 30% only correct.
She practically glared at the sheet of paper. She knew Gon was no good at math, anybody who knew the boy at all knew that, but still was still unacceptable.
"I'm really sorry about this. Are you his teacher? Is there something we can make him do to make up for this?"
slowly puts his arm around her
She becomes wary, but doesn’t do much to fight it.
"What are you up to?"
Just plops down on the couch.
"Don’t have one. Besides, I’m already here. Might as well stay."
She sat on the armrest of the couch, staring down at him. "All the money you have and you don't even have a place to sleep? How have you managed to still be so irresponsible after all this time?"
"I heard that you had a kid."
"How did you…" Who was telling people? Why was news about her even traveling?! She didn’t think she was famous enough or anything for people to tell others about her…
She glanced over her shoulder, looking at Susan across the room and pointing back at her. “…Yeah. Her name is Susan. She’s over there playing with the doll house. But she’s only technically mine?”
Mito wasn’t even sure how to explain that.
Well this was highly embarrassing; almost as embarrassing as gon crying in front of him with a crowd of people staring. Where did this child even come from? Even Mito didn’t know that. Did she just suddenly knock on the door, asking to stay?
"N-No. Like i say, can’t be your daddy, kid. P-Pay attention. wh-why don’t you go back playin with those dolls or somethin’?"
He pulled up his scarf, trying to hide his red face from his cousin who was also flustered.
" ‘Kay." With that she scurried off, laughing at the two as she returned to her play set.
What a wonderful first meeting.
"So, yeah. That’s Susan. Seems like she got the "no shame" trait from the family." Some how. How did she even get traits without coming from anybody in the family? The greyfaces’ magic was too confusing and illogical to try and think about.
"What do you think?" As if him hiding behind his scarf didn't already answer her question.

it was weird having people remind him of the things he had done to the world. but to him- it shouldnt of been common sense to find. or to discover. maybe the world was just too obvious to him. too blunt and plain in sight.
but still, he felt a bit irritated nobody else could understand that, not even mito. He didnt like the attention, but then again, hunters were selfish people. abandoning others and things to get what they want. and that had been a life journey for him. but it was far from over.
Ging loosened up his hands, pushing back with his forehead and beginning to get smart with her- as it felt like she had done with him. but in a different and mocking way.
the man stuck out his tongue right in front of her face, like a child.
"Pffttt~! like i’d tell ya."
Her head shot back in surprise when his tongue came out.
"G-Ging!" Then, puffing out her cheeks in annoyance, she stomped on his foot and placed her hands on her hips. Now she was being just as childish as he, if not more. "I just wanted to know! You didn't have to... Ugh!"
She threw her hands up in the air to signify how done she was with him.
It startled the konoichi a little that this lady would so openly let a complete stranger into her home. You have no idea what kind of life I life and if you did, you'd certainly not be inviting me home with you. But the offer sounded genuine and Machi found herself very conflicted against politely accompanying the lady and just leave for the sake of them both.
"I - but - we barely know each other and...I wouldn't want to come across as a weird type who just follows other people into their homes, and uhm," she was turning slightly red from sheer embarrassment. "I really do appreciate the thought. But I must decline, though."
She was a bit disappointed to hear the decline of her offer, but took no offense to it. The other woman did have a point.
"I understand. Some people to do tell me from time to time that I'm too welcoming and should be more careful. But I just believe in being nice to everyone on the first meeting. If you do that then they'll most likely be nice in return, right?" She walked past the other, looking back over her shoulder to say, "Even if it was kind of awkward, it was nice meeting you. If you see me around be sure to say hello!"
With that she began her trek back home.

Mito waved a hand in the air to dismiss that. "Of course you don't. I wouldn't try to force you to. I just wanted to see Gon's friend is all. Kurapika, right?"
At least he looked like the man from the picture, but something seemed off. They looked..slightly younger? She couldn't place her finger on it.
"..." Machi felt more displeased when it was pointed out but no, there wasn't really anything the lady could offer that she would be interested in. Unless she wouldn't mind keeping me company. The empty silence of her apartment could give her a rather unsettling feeling in her gut and fresh air usually did the trick. But now didn't appear to be the case.
"...are you grocery-shopping?"
"Yes, actually." She raised her arms slightly to let the bags she had show a little more clearly. "I just got out of the store a moment ago and was heading home now. Why do you ask? Did you want to come with?"
Mito sounded a bit hopeful, seeing how she rarely got to meet many other women around the city. She mainly only knew most of Gon's guy friends.

Slowly takes his arm off her, pretending like nothing happened.
"You forgot why…" She wasn’t vehemently opposed to it, but it seemed weird for him to just do it all of a sudden. "…you’re weird, Ging."
