When it comes to gender/sexuality/etc. its often very difficult for neurodivergent people to be able to find exactly what label fits them
Often its difficult for us to pin down our emotions enough to establish certain things, which makes it common for us to reject things altogether such as labeling ourselves as nonbinary
Of course this isn't everyone, but it is a large enough number to see a corrilation
So just know, if you are struggling with your Identity as a neurodivergent person, thats totally normal (not sarcasm) and if you need to use a label that isn't 100% correct, don't worry about it. You can always change it later :)
Also! You might never find something that fits you 100% perfectly, and that's okay too! And if you do, you're human! We grow and change, and you might end up outgrowing that label.
The point is, don't go looking for a label that will perfectly describe how you're feeling, because half the time I can't even do that with access to most of the words in the English language.
Labels aren't perfect, even for neurotypicals, so of course they're going to be hard to figure out. Just take your time. Use whatever feels best, for however long it feels that way, whether that be a week, a month, a year, or your whole life! Not everything needs a name all the time.

TIL a family in Georgia claimed to have passed down a song in an unknown language from the time of their enslavement; scientists identified the song as a genuine West African funeral song in the Mende language that had survived multiple transmissions from mother to daughter over multiple centuries (x)
In 1997 Amelia’s daughter, Mary Moran, and other members of the Moran family were invited to Sierra Leone, West Africa, where they were welcomed in Freetown by Sierra Leone’s President and then flown by helicopter to the country’s interior. There, in the small village of Senehun Ngola, Mary and Bendu Jabati met and sang this song together for the first time. Years earlier, Bendu’s grandmother had told her that this song, which had been passed down in her village from mother to daughter for centuries, would one day reunite her to long-lost relatives.
In addition to finding out where in Africa her ancestors were abducted into slavery, Mary Moran discovered the meaning of the Mende song: a processional hymn for the final farewell to the spirit, it was sung in Senehun Ngola by women as they prepared the body of a loved one for burial.
(The OP's link leads to a site with a recording of the song sung by both Mary Moran and her mother, Amelia)
it's pride month and I'm obsessed w tablet weaving so i made this
it's so tacky i love it
look at that edginnnggg
I'm really pleased w this.
I think I want to make bracelets & since I don't need so many, I want to give some away! so if you want one hmu (would prefer to send to europeans but not a must). i have about 2.30m so it should make like 7 I think? like this:
so yeah if you want one (& are comfy giving me an address obv) let me know!
pattern (loosely based on Daniel Quasar's progress flag), feel free to use or adapt:
the letters on the left refer to upper back, lower back, lower front, upper front: the position of the holes from the viewpoint of the weaver (so you start in the upper corner facing away from you and work your way around anti-clockwise).
i used black weft and started out from right to left so the weft disappears into the black part of the edge.
turning pattern (f=forwards=away from the weaver; b=backwards=towards the weaver): start out with 4f. first & last 3 tablets always turn forwards, the rest as follows
5b, 1f, 5b, 1f, 5b, 5f, 1b, 5f, 1b, 5f
repeat
DOCTOR WHO POSITIVITY DRIVE
Hello everyone!
Alright, so I recently got the chance to go to Gallifrey One, which was absolutely incredible, but what struck me the most was just how positive the atmosphere was. I went there worrying that there would be a big, obvious divide between people who liked one era and people who liked another - but there wasn’t at all. Everyone was so friendly and nice, and it was such a celebration of the entire show, old and new. And it’s only really hit me now that I’ve come back to the online fandom after that experience that the reason I felt that way was because recently a lot of people seem to be either focusing on the parts of the show that they hate, or hating on other parts of the show to say why the part they like it good. And I’m tired of it - this is a show that tells us to see wonder in the universe and be kind to one another! - and after talking to a few people, I think a lot of folks are. And so I came up with this idea - a positivity drive!
Here’s how it works: if you want to, make a post about any part of Doctor Who that you like! Maybe it’s a specific era, or a specific character, or maybe multiple different things or just the show as a whole. Whatever you like - and then encourage other people to do the same! It can be as short or as long as you like. There are just a couple of rules:
Rule 1: Don’t be negative about any part of the show in order to say something positive about another part. This is about celebration, remember.
Rule 2: If someone else posts something for the positivity drive that you disagree with or that you actually really hate about the show - leave them be. Of course, if you want to make your own critical post, I’m not going to stop you, but the last thing I want is for people to start arguments on posts that are meant to be about celebrating the show. We’re all a community of people with different opinions and tastes, and so we like different things! And that’s okay!
Rule 3: Tag your post with #dw positivity drive so people can find posts and share the love. It’ll also help me because I would like to reblog as many posts as I can! And if you feel like encouraging other folks to join in too, that would be really awesome! I want this to span across as many eras and aspects of the show as possible
I’ll start everyone off by saying what I like about the show, but I’m going to put it under the cut because otherwise this will get too long. But if people are happy to reblog this and/or share it with folks in other ways, that would be really helpful! I just think it would be amazing if we could recreate that sense of love and joy that I felt at Gallifrey One - because isn’t this what fandom is all about? Sharing joy for the things that we love? I think it should be!

it’s so bizarre when animated American films are set in a certain location and then only certain characters have the accents of that place. It makes no damn sense!! like
WHY IS SHE MORE FRENCH THAN THE REST OF THEM???
WHY ARE THESE GUYS MORE SCOTTISH THAN THE KIDS??
(also, aren’t they Vikings or something?)
To be fair, almost everyone in Ratatouille does have a French accent. The real question is why Linguini and also all the rats sound intensely American
If it was just the rats I’d say it’s because the movie can be interpreted to mean that the rats understand but don’t necessarily speak human languages so the rat dialog isn’t literally taking place the way we see it but that doesn’t explain why Linguini has a rat accent
LINGUINI HAS A RAT ACCENT
Do we ever hear like
For sure that Linguini grew up in France tho?
It could be possible he’s just an American immigrant
I mean his name is Alfredo Linguini so I always assumed he was Italian
I’m sorry his first name is Alfredo?
ALFREDO???
he’s American you guys his mother was American it was mentioned in the beginning
I’m sorry, I’ve moved on to the fact his mother was going through her cupboard for baby names
Alfredo was a name before it was a sauce let’s go over the movie from the top again
This is Alfredo di Lelio (right) the inventor of fettuccine Alfredo, he’d come out to the table and make it in front of you by hand
The chap on the left is an airport
I just realised I got my left and right mixed up, that’s happening more and more recently?
The chap on the right looks like John F Kennedy?
This post is a ripe mess and Gordon Ramsay is due to inspect in ten minutes…

what a movie night with the various doctors who would be like:
one: does not like the movie anyone else picks (except for Susan’s choices, those are fine)
two: doesn’t matter what you’re watching, two is scared. anything that is remotely similar to a jumpscare is too much. he is clutching Jamie’s arm for dear life
three: is actually pleasant to watch a movie with so long as it has sufficient cultural cache (or it’s got a lot of car chases)
four: one of those insufferable bastards who figures out the plot twist in the first five minutes and then gloats
five: falls asleep (claims he was just resting his eyes)
six: points out any and all inaccuracies in the movie
seven: figures out the plot twist, does not gloat, tries to nudge his viewing companions into figuring it out themselves
eight: will not shut the fuck up. has a running commentary on everything that happens and reacts with passion even if he’s already seen the movie before. then someone else talks and it’s all “you’re ruining the best part charley!”
nine: claims he’s not actually watching but instead is just keeping who is watching company while he tinkers or whatever (he is watching)
ten: likes to watch musicals and sing along to all the songs loudly
eleven: can’t sit still long enough to watch a movie
twelve: had never watched a movie in his life until he and missy start doing semi frequent movie nights in the vault. he claims this is just give her some variety and he does not enjoy it and that “it’s not a date bill!”
thirteen: diligently pays attention to the entire movie. notices incredibly minor things happening in the background. somehow misses the main plot entirely
came home drunk last night and got way too excited to see my cat
That photo of the flag in your dad's garage that got stolen has made it into the grubby paws of Elon Musk. I'm so sorry.

Merciful fuck.
I do not have the time or patience to deal with the Muskrat himself, so I will simply put my redbubble link in the hands of the people and fundraise for my new car.
Sorry to commandeer your post but wtf????
If it makes you feel better, it's not going any better for me.
I have tweeted one (1) time today.
