YOU GOTTA BE LOUD!
Interview with Ricky and Ghost

New song!
Hi! What should we expect from your new album?
I would say it’s a more mature version of what Reincarnate was. I feel like we “found ourselves” while writing that album, so to speak. So this new album is a more defined, more mature version of that idea of who we are as a band. It’s bigger, heavier, and better in every way. We all couldn’t be happier with how it’s coming along! -Ricky
Is there a big difference in your life compared to when MIW was just starting out and now?
Definitely. I think the biggest difference is just our mindset and outlook on the way music is played and viewed. We are trying to bend the rules on what is socially acceptible for widespread listening. We’re no longer concerned about writing the heaviest breakdown ever, and more so trying to create solid, cohesive songs. I don’t want that to sound like we’re not writing heavy music, because this album is definitely heavier than our previous. I just think our maturity and songwriting skills have developed and grown tremendously even since Reincarnate came out, and I think the songs are definitely there to prove that. -Ricky
When you guys were in school ,how did you guys deal with people judging you based on your music taste or how you guys dressed ?
I lived in my own bubble in my head in high school. I had about three real friends and was happy with that. I think people forget that school is not the rest of your life. Things are SO much more different when you graduate. Just remember, it’s not permanent. It’s what you do after school is over that counts. -Ricky
how do you guys feel about how much your band has helped so many people? p.s its helped me alot guys, love you!! x
I think it’s amazing. It’s incredible to hear stories from people that are going through exactly the same things I was. YOU GUYS ARE NOT ALONE. Remember that. We are all in this together. We love you. -Ricky
