Poster 2
changed my mid on what would be in the silhouette of the poster based around daredevil as my original idea would look too much like the first poster. I've decided to show imagery of the church within it now as in this season his faith in the church and what it means to him plays a big part.
Poster 3
My idea based around bullseye is to show a silhouette of the Daredevil costume with the characters logo within it. The reason for having the silhouette of the Daredevil costume is because within the third season bullseye takes on the persona of Daredevil.
Bullseye colour wheel.
Colour Wheels For daredevil.
After looking more at Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) I found that white and purple was his main colour so I decided to look for some colour wheels to possibly use within his poster
New Idea
Basically, because I wasn't getting anywhere with the fire idea I started looking at different posters and I am not these and thought I'd be able to implement this style to show the characteristics of three characters in Daredevil.
One could be the outline Wilson Fisk (main bad guy) with the city inside his outline as he controls the city.
Second could be daredevil looking over the city as he protects it.
Haven't thought of their yet but I want to implement it about bullseye as he's one of the main characters from season 3
Help
I spoke to Geraint for some advice on other ways to go about creating my idea and he had suggested a way to go about it but not to sure if it would be exactly what I want.
he also suggested that I have a watch through daredevil again and write down key points of the series that I could implement within the poster.
Love this poster. could create something along the line of this if I need to change my idea. could have the city within the silhouette of the Daredevil’ character.
Could also apply the same idea to two of the other main characters within season 3
love these posters. I want to keep my motion posters simplistic like these.
love the simplicity of this poster. To me, it shows that daredevil protects the city by lighting it up with his logo.
Current daredevil poster
I like the fact that it shifts from both sides of the character and that it is loopable.
Test 1
Test one looks quite cool but it's not what I was going for with the poster might mess about with this footage in post and see what I can do with it. if I'm not happy I'm going to have to take another approach with this assignment with the little time I've allowed myself.
Test 2
This is the second test of lighting the symbol. It didn't go too well as there wasn't enough space between the card and the fire joined together.
(pardon the audio, I was planning on adding audio in post-production from recoding the sizzling sound of the fire myself.)
This is where I recorded some footage and the stencil that i dosed in lighter fluid to set alight. not the best set up but it worked.
Prep
I have to go out and buy some supplies ready to test if my idea works. my plan is to buy some black card for the dark background and to cut out a stencil of the logo. after I have cut out the logo will dose it within lighter fluid and set it alight hoping that the card the logo will spread evenly.
Motion posters are a perfect art form for the internet age. Here on Coub we have a special channel for them – Motion Posters. Here are some of the best.
There are some really nice simplistic posters on this website. I'm a big fan of the ones with subtle movement.
