Love is giving someone the power to destroy you…but trusting them not to.

life is so boring when you dont have any online orders coming in the mail to look forward to
there’s nothing wrong with admitting you were once toxic.
there’s nothing wrong with admitting you made a couple people feel like shit.
there’s nothing wrong with admitting you fucked up and were horribly arrogant and parasitic.
there’s nothing wrong with admitting you did anyone wrong, especially if you’ve learned from it. If you’re humble enough to admit it, I guarentee there’s a bit of a good person inside of you.
I really needed this, thank you OP.
I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship.
After a traumatic experience, the human system of self-preservation seems to go onto permanent alert, as if the danger might return at any moment.

My coping strategy regarding my illness for the first year of being sick...
[gif of Tyrion from Game of Thrones shrugging gently, saying, “I’m denying its existence]
I always see posts about people with chronic illnesses not being taken seriously by their doctors.
and it really makes me thankful I got the doctors I did. my doctors have never judged me, or not taken me seriously. in the 2 years leading up to my full attack - all I had was a continual runny nose. and my family doc had me seeing a different specialist every month to see what was going on.
when I ended up in the hospital before they had an official diagnosis, I have 4 lung doctors talking together to figure out what was going on. my rheumatologist was calling doctors in Toronto to see if they had anything. my blood was sent down to the US to see if they could figure it out.
now that I’m diagnosed nothing has changed. my family doctor calls me to check and see how I am doing, I have both my lungs and rheumatologist doctors home phone numbers, and they call me to make sure everything is still fine.
maybe I lucked out with my doctors, but I have never felt like my chronic illness was’ second rate’
and they always ask how I'm coping. they aren't just worried about my physical body, they want to make sure I'm mentally ok as well.
1. faking confidence is the first step to real confidence 2. not everyone is going to like you and that’s okay 3. your friends will like you a lot more if you’re honest and upfront 4. you don’t have to get out of bed every day 5. it’s okay to cry 6. ask yourself what’ve you got to lose when you can’t make a decision 7. some people are just bad people, don’t try to change them 8. 99% of problems can be fixed if you speak to the person you have a problem with 9. if you love someone, tell them 10. the first few people you think of when you say “no one cares” are the people who care the most
