some more Cirrus doodles
sketchy ref of my boy, Cirrus. He’s supposed to change colors based off his emotions, but I still haven’t decided which colors to which emotions.
The unicorn lived in a lilac wood and she lived all alone. She was very old, though she did not know it, and she was no longer the careless color of sea foam, but rather the color of snow falling on a moonlit night. But her eyes were still clear and unwearied, and she still moved like a shadow on the sea.
Another piece for class. This time the unicorn from The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle. I chose it for the movie, but tried going by the book. I also took huge inspiration from Mary Blair’s amazing concept art for disney. Maybe later I’ll complete the Harpy as a companion piece.
digital painting of pigs feet for class. First time using Corel painter! it’s an interesting program, not sure I dig it but still cool to try.
Trying to get over my hesitation to post work, so here is my final from my graphic design class. It was my first time using Photoshop to actually edit and collage photos and I learned so much. I wanted to juxtapose toys with malice and create a surreal nightmare sort of world. I was immensely inspired by pengosolvent s music and probably listened to the youtube mix of Fantastic Phantasm AT LEAST 10 times. I hope my piece conveys my intent even a little, and give that good music a listen!
Another semester done and over with, now for summer session to begin. This semester I took a basic graphic design class working with Illustrator and Photoshop and I had a blast. The process of working with vectors, for me, was more like building piece by piece than flowing organic drawing. Aligning vectors into perfectly crisp and clean forms was immensely satisfying. For that reason alone my planes-of-the-head above was probably my favorite piece. I’m really happy with the color palette and the cleanliness of the geometric shapes. I hope others enjoy it as well!
It took a while but I finally made a character for bolto s Dystopia Jam!
So these two are Tuya [Too-yuh] and TseTseg [ Seh-segg]; Mercenary-4-hire and her loyal companion.
more dragon arts! Top one is a commission I did for cliones of her beautiful Horizon, which I had a blast doing! After the semester ends I would definitely be up for more if people are interested at all. I feel like doing these can help me learn a lot.
The bottom is a more portrait-ish drawing of Valerian, one of the duo of female ridgebacks who are sort of the unofficial queens of my lair. I'm not much into lore stuffs and weaving a narrative, but it's fun to think about and draw my dragons individually. Flight Rising is turning out to be a pretty nice art motivator.
Here's my (very off model) pearlcatcher boy, Onion from my favorite dragon game Flight Rising. I love my Onion very much and he makes me laugh because I only recently read the lore and he is practically opposite of canon, oh well. I want to do more pieces like this for my dragons for fun and as incentive to draw more. I want to be able to keep my attention span and paint digitally.
If people are interested I could probably do these and little portrait commisions for treasure/gems (because I'm broke).

Here's the bat inspired dragons I promised! I struggled quite a bit with these and as such I have variable horn types and poses drawn out.
pastel-prodigy and I collaborated over skype to come up with how these guys should look. I'm much to lazy to paint them all now but I hope they give a clear idea of how we wanted to present them. Boys have a little beard and a fuller mane while girls get four horns :>. I also made the secondary color affect the fur as well as wings, and maybe even on the horns as well? Overall I like these and think they'd make cool FR dragons.
continuation of the ones before: baby edition.
Hey, it's been awhile!
So while I was neglecting this blog I've been playing a real fun website called Flight Rising where you raise, clothe, and breed dragons. While playing I began thinking of other dragons I'd like to have that weren't any of the current breeds so -TADAH- I made my own! I wanted a water based dragon since there is a lack of them in FR. These are sorta a mix of porpoise and jellyfish in my mind; I wanted that round cute marine mammal look to them. I won't deny that while drawing these I may or may not have thought about serendipity and my father's dragon...
I like how these guys turned out quite a bit and would be tickled pink if FR ever got something like them. I will probably post a few more of these dragon sketches of different ideas I've come up with later. (next one I'm hoping to do is based off of bats)
Togetic was surprisingly fun to draw. Maybe I'll try and draw more pokemon
here's some more ponies no one asked for.
Violet Vine on left and Star Pop on right (yes I named them).
I imagine these two would have low vs high energy and balance each other out.
Sorry it took awhile! here's your dia de los meurtos pony, Yessy!
hope you like it!
