Fun fact: apparently oceanids/ lochfolks might be based off of sea angels/ cliones
For everyone wondering, sea angels looks like this:

As you can see, they really DO look like little oceanids, except they are can only get up to 5 cm long and they don't have any hydro abilities. They are a absolutely GIGANTIC group of small, swimming sea slugs whose "foot" are the wing-like limbs. They live in deep, temperate or cold waters, usually around 2,000 feet. They also are hermaphrodites, meaning that they are both male and female! They are also carnivorous, their usual prey being sea butterflies.
Enough fun facts about sea angels, here's a comparison of two oceanids (Rhodeia of Loch and Endora respectively) and a sea angel.

Back in January 2016, which I think wasn’t long after Cliones first opened up their adoptable shop for the adoptables with familiars, I had been really interested but wanted to see if I could pay with the festival currency at the time since it was during the festival week. They let me pay with 450 Eternal Snows. I had also offered to still be put on the waiting list wherever I would be at that moment rather than budge, as I just wanted to pre-pay with the Snows while they useful.
I don’t remember where I was on the list at that time or anything, as it’s been a while, but I remember that the list was pretty long as it was, so I knew it would probably be a while, maybe even a couple months, but I was okay with that.
I then sort of forgot about it for a while and I tend to not keep track of time very well, to be honest. I follow Cliones on tumblr, tho, so I would see the updates sometimes and knew the wait list was moving, so I didn’t think about it. At some point, I realized I hadn’t seen any familiar adoptables in a bit and went to check on the shop. I noticed it hadn’t been updated in a little bit, but Cliones was clearly still active, so I figured they were just doing a lot of their other art services, since I know they’re in really high demand.
Then I realized it still hadn’t moved in a bit and wondered what was going on, maybe I had missed something, so I messaged Cliones on July 30, 2016. (I mostly explain all this because this not being discussed until almost August is basically all on me not remembering to ask rather than anything on Cliones’ part.) They responded in a day or two apologizing profusely that they hadn’t remembered me. I was marked down in the wait list section rather than the slots section, not unusual with popular art shops, so they hadn’t seen me when they’d checked. They also explained that they’d been quite busy with exams in July and that they’d just started a month and a half vacation.
Cliones offered to start working on the art while they were on vacation, but I reassured her quite strongly that I was perfectly okay with waiting until their vacation was over. Vacation is vacation! I didn’t want to stress them out and I’d already waited a little bit, so it wasn’t a big deal to me.
I had actually just been thinking I should check in again when I saw that they had sent me the finished adopt! I had requested one with the smokey effect and one without, which they also did for me, no extra charge or anything.
They were incredibly nice to me throughout this process. I’m confident that if I had messaged them earlier, I would have likely been able to get the adopt earlier as well, so the long delay is mostly because of the long waitlist and also because I forgot to ask for a while. I’d been nervous to contact them because Cliones is a pretty well-known artist in the community and I was worried I’d come off as annoying, but they were very nice. They were even willing to work on my adopt while they were on vacation, which is incredibly generous of them! I love the adoptable I got and would definitely recommend them.

We're both fictives (definitions here) in the Keshet System; specifically, we're part of a...sub-subsystem, a slightly seperate duo in the subsystem shared with our partner Ran and her median aspects. Both of us mostly use she/her pronouns these days.
My source is Ryūnosuke Fujinami from the manga/anime Urusei Yatsura, and Ocean is sourced from my fiancée Nagisa Shiowatari. Because the system we're in is in a body of non-Japanese ancestry, we've both adopted European names, and expect to be addressed by them. I'm Serafina Wister, and she's Ocean Waterford.
Per our exomemories, we're adults, living independently (co-running the café, with help from Ran), and although we're legally married we're also in an open relationship and especially in a committed throuple with Ran.
The blog title is a reference to both our names, and to one of my favorite animals, the clione (AKA a 'sea angel'):
Cliones are tiny little sea snails that shed their shells a few days after hatching, hence the scientific name "gymnosomata": naked-bodied. The idea of shedding something I was born with and swimming freely through life in my own way is pretty appealing....

oh dang, I didn’t realize it had gone up that much- I might have to wait a little more on getting them tbh, see if the market goes down any. last time I bought gems they were at like 1:600, I didn’t know they’d gotten that high so fast!

@cliones I dunno man! I took the breed arts and went frill finding--I can see the wings and the cheek frills, but not the top frill, and there’s also no cheek frill on the male adult. That could just be dimorphism tho? the males have two frills and females only one? wings and frills 2 similar 4 me 2 tell
