I’m quickly losing all hope in humanity and it’s extremely depressing. My neurodivergent self can’t handle the overwhelmingly pitiful state of our world.

At this point, I would love to just go as off grid as I can and not support any part of society anymore. It doesn’t support me, so why should I support it?

Maybe one day I can go to the backwoods of a better country and just grow my own food and live in peace.

Get you a partner that when you go to watch YouTube on the TV and go to log in and aren’t paying attention to which one it is, you accidentally choose theirs and it takes you a second to realize it’s the wrong one because the videos on your suggested list are nearly exactly the same and the reason you figure it out is because of THAT ONE suggestion that you know only their crazy ass would like.

Someone I know who is pro-forced birth actually just said that an ectopic pregnancy is not a baby.

I will be referring to rich white politicians as it as they do not deserve the right to be referred to respectfully. They are its. They definitely aren’t men because a real man would protect his woman at all costs.

It’s small and doesn’t do much but I want to belittle and dehumanize them as much as they have dehumanized us.

Continuing my theme of random updates every year or so

I quit my job. I’ve worked for this company 3 times and made more progress each time until I finally became the GM about a year ago. I feel a bit like a failure, I’m not gonna lie. But I’m doing what’s right for my mental health and while I’ve loved this place for a long time, my curtain call has come.

Like many, I’m actually leaving food service altogether which I never thought would happen but after the last 3 years, it’s definitely time. I’ve given all of myself to my work for too long and it’s time to take my time back.

What inspired this change? A man.

Long story short, the guy from out of state and I finally met after 2 years, and not long after he went home we agreed it wasn’t going to work. Not 3 days later I drunk swiped on another guy and somehow struck gold. (Not that I would say that’s the BEST idea, I just happened to get lucky). I’ve been happily settling into a whole new life with this man since October and I couldn’t be happier with how it worked out.

So yeah. Kind of a complete 180 from where I thought I was going a year ago, but all for the best. New job, new man, new life.

I’ve also made great strides in my health because I’ve had good benefits the last 2 years so I just need to keep that up from here.

So yeah. Little strange update, hopefully whoever still reads this doesn’t hate me

For anyone who might give even half a shit, I gave up on dating a while ago, and I’m still talking to that guy from out of state. Just 6 more months before I get to meet him.

On another note, I quit my dance job because all they had me doing was paperwork and stupid shit and basically refusing to pay me more than $100 a week. So I bailed and I feel good about it.

And I got my old food service job back, which I hated the idea of at first, but now that I’m back in the swing of things, I feel great.

To add to that greatness, my boss, with whom I’ve become good work buddies because we’re stupidly similar and make a fantastic team, has asked me if I would like to get promoted to AGM. Something I wanted YEARS ago. But was only given slight hope of, and then turned down and lied to about why. Apparently he is insanely impressed with my work at this location and wants me to continue and become a GM in the next couple years. Which blows my mind because literally, only one other boss had this much faith in me and my work, and he didn’t make it happen. Now it’s happening, the conversations with the big boss (whom I also love because she’s work Mom) are coming soon on what is expected and where I’m going and how I’m getting there. But if my promotion doesn’t come soon, I’m apparently getting a massive raise anyway because the boss is so impressed with me.

So yeah. Don’t know how my year started so well, but here we are.

So uhhh 2 year update. I’m the GM. Moving on to training store manager and then area manager soon because I run the best store in the area lmao funny how that worked out

This didn’t age well. No longer the best store (shocker), working 45 hours in store, and my free nights working at home so really no time off ever so really want to leave now. I’m too young to spend so much of my life and energy in one spot like this.

So if anyone has any suggestions of grocery warehouses, I’m taking suggestions. I don’t want regular warehouses, but I’ll take suggestions or ideas for sure. Just need good money, and dedicated time off.

I feel like I haven’t been on here in forever. Anon just made my night, especially after a not so great moment with my father just now.

Life update: I’m getting promoted soon (if you consider within the next 12 months to be soon), I’ve continued to get closer to my “person” even from 800 miles away, and I’m finally moving out.

Life is good, actually. Once I move out, perhaps I can repair the slowly deteriorating relationship I have with my parents. Make life my own, and not just live under their old school rules and finally live outside of the 8’x10’ room I’ve felt trapped in for almost 6 years.

And maybe, just maybe, I can bring my person here soon and finally just get the bear hug I’ve been needing for the last 16 months since we met.

Update for myself:

It’s been a year. You met him and you loved him. You’re no longer with that person, but you’re still friends and you still love him dearly. But the new one has your whole heart, even if your self destructive habits say otherwise sometimes.

You got that promotion a couple months after that post, and then another 6 months later. And now you’re working on another promotion.

You’re moving again to that beautiful complex you fell in love with first.

Your restaurant looks 10 times better than it did 3 months ago. And the 3 months before that were hell, but you survived and you could do it again. (And you might)

You haven’t started on those repairs yet, with your parents, but you will soon.

Life is much better. You’ve lost some weight, your teeth are better and you’re moving up

Okie doke then. I was having a good day until I came home to have my parents take out their (self inflicted) holiday stress on me. Because it’s definitely my fault that their kitchen is overcrowded with stuff and my fault they invited the whole family to our house (I love that so much too considering what has happened this year).

Yeah. Thank fuck I’m moving in 7 weeks. It’s the little things.

I just really need the next 5 and 1/2 months to go by a little faster. But also, I’m loving the ride to when I finally get to meet this man. It’s got bumps but I’d be more concerned it if was easier than this

So I never updated this. It’s now November and we were supposed to meet in August. That didn’t happen because of Covid. And now I have to wait until next august to see him. And the thought of that is so fucking excruciating I can’t even explain it. But we’ll get there. Eventually
