friendly reminder that if you’re an adult on the internet it is your responsibility to set boundaries with others.
“it’s your responsibility to curate your own internet experience and avoid content that’s harmful to you” and “artists should be considerate in how they depict certain topics and groups in order to avoid harming their audience” are concepts that can and do coexists, believe it or not!
you guys seriously need to stop putting the responsibility of calling out problematic behavior on children. minors should not be responsible here.
if you’re an adult on the internet- this is your responsibility - don’t you dare put this on children.
if you’re white and you act like race issues are just “unnecessary drama” or “discourse” then sorry to tell you but you’re just…. racist
yes white people CAN and probably SHOULD reblog this just dont add on anything.

You are a warrior. You’ve been up against battle after battle; each challenging in its own way. Yet, you’re still standing. You’re still alive, and stronger than ever. You’ve got this.

there it is. mako is always checking to make sure that they’re both okay, specifically bolin. mako has always looked out for bolin, so the question was coming soon. he didn’t leave the place untouched, but bolin wasn’t nearly in the same pain as mako. mako was destroyed by what happened, and bolin just had some scratches that would otherwise be completely fine. he was fine. he knew that. but mako was just doing what he does best — worrying and overthinking about bolin. ❝ don’t worry — i’m fine, i’m getting checked out. ❞ bolin promised him. nodding his head. ❝ you’re the one that got hurt badly. not me. ❞
𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙝𝙚 𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙗𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙝𝙞𝙢 𝙗𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙, 𝙝𝙚 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙚’𝙨 𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙝𝙞𝙢𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤. mako is under no delusions that he’ll be able to get himself out. he knows he will try — he will always do what it takes to survive, and he never can seem to die — but he knows he will most likely not succeed on his own. and he is right. if bolin had not disobeyed and come back . . . “ 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹, ” he insists, a little scolding in his voice. i told you to get out of there, little brother. “ 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝘃𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘀𝗸𝘂𝗹𝗹. ”
We’ll survive, you and I.

it’s bad. zolt’s temper is far worse than noi thought, and there’s flashes of what follows. at least he didn’t burn mako, but the entire time noi stands there petrified. she knows better than to get involved, but she follows him downstairs. they shouldn’t have to go through this. it’s unfair. she doesn’t know what to say, not until she hears the water run does she manage to get anything out. “ that — that was bad. ” noi struggles to say. duh it obviously was bad. “ i mean — are you okay ? ”
𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙤 𝙥𝙪𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙨. he nurses his cheek with the cool water, hoping it will do the work of the ice he’s not permitted, but he knows it will probably swell and bruise regardless. he tries not to look into the mirror; it isn’t very hard because he knows what he’ll find, and why would he ever want to see that? “ 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻. ” it isn’t an answer to noi’s question, or even just her observation. “ 𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝘇𝘂𝗹𝗮. 𝗼𝗸𝗮𝘆? ” bolin will know soon enough, but maybe mako can think up a believable lie before then. he can keep himself from azula until his face heals up again.
