Coming from the clothing/design world myself and knowing what hard work, love and passion goes into developing a line & brand, I have huge amount of respect for indie brands and designers. I'm all about supporting them and their creative genius!
Soooo many things inspire my style on a daily basis. I'm constantly gaining inspiration with everything from interiors, flowers, books, and magazines to other bloggers, street style photographs, shoes (sometimes the right pair of shoes can inspire an entire outfit) and old movies. When I was a kid my mom always had my sister and I watch old Shirley Temple, Marilyn Monroe and Liz Taylor movies and till this day I am absolutely fascinated with the fashion...So elegant and so chic.
Style doesn't define me but I am defined by my style in many ways. I believe an outfit can evoke different emotions and it can also tell you a lot about someone's personality. Timeless classic, wildly eccentric, laid back casual, free spirited boho, feisty with an edge, colorful androgyny and often times a mixture of some or all. Style is an artistic expression that I for one, live for! It's like the saying goes, "We all put our pants on one leg at at time" but it's the pants you choose and how you wear them that make you who you are.
