Being truthful with yourself is not just the right thing to do; it keeps your brain in working order so it can deal with the reality that exists around you. Lying to yourself creates neuronal pathways in the brain which interfere with rational thought and action in the future. Watching the desperate dissembling of Trump supporters is heart-breaking. Trump is a con-man, nothing more. MAGA believers will end up like the Jim Jones followers. The time for Trump supporters to stop lying to themselves is now. They can go back to being real Republicans and lose nothing. Trump does not love you back.
