Earthlings is a striking book. It’s crazy how these characters just start saying the quiet shit out loud. It makes you feel like Natsuki is right, maybe they are just components of a factory.
I just wanna work on the book, I’m less interested in video making at this time… I’m sure the urge will return. Video editing is a hobby I love! But rn I just want to write! I will say working on my chill projects like reading the great light is a good way to re-find my footing.

Alley Runner: The life of a stray cat is unpredictable, you never know when your next meal will be, but Alley Runners know how to make a living on the streets. Every stray cat has to be adaptable, whether they like it or not. Playing dirty may not be honorable, but it keeps their fur on. Survival is what matters out on the streets. They have to learn dirty tricks, know how to scavenge, be ready to negotiate, lie, steal, or fight. Though, in most cases, scrambling away from their problems seems to be the best method. Alley Runners can wiggle and weave their way out of anything. You never find trouble if you're never caught!

BloodClaw: On the harsh two-leg streets, some rogues hunt and fight together in Packs. These cats are called BloodClaws, named after their violent nature, and crimson stained claws. They chase off wandering Loners and Kittypets, rising in power through their conquering of land and growing numbers. However most Packs don’t last long, internal conflict and competition usually swipe away even the greatest groups. Ranks based on strength and violence only influence distrust among members. Inevitably after one Pack’s disbandment, another will quickly spawn to claim the scraps. Some choose a peaceful life once the cats scatter, but they never can clean their blood stained paws.

Combat Update
- New pages explaining Contested Rolls a new take on Armor and Damage along with an all new combat condition bleeding out!
Bleeding Out: A creature who is bleeding out takes 3 points of damage at the end of their turn. A creature remains bleeding until healed with a DC 3 Int+Medicine check or until they are Down. Cats using herbs gain advantage on the Medicine check. A Leader may spend a life to stay at Fading and nullify the Bleeding Out condition.
- Warriors and enemies now roll at the same time in combat encounters. This is called a contested roll! How exciting~!
- Warriors get 3 Actions on their turn, and may do the following...
Use an Attack, Evasive, or Impact Skill against an enemy.
Move anywhere across the combat field. (Moving is Non-Restrictive.)
Use one Knack.
Use a relevant Skill.
- Armor requires a certain amount of successes in order for a cat to be hit. Fluffy is now a +2 rather than +1. Brand New Armor: Collar & Spiked Collar
- Damage updates for Swat & Bite along with clarification regarding Evasive and Impactful skills that aid within combat.
- How contests work with Initiative!
Narrators, you do not roll Initiative for your enemies. Thanks to contested rolls, the player and targeted enemy npc share a turn. They are considered to be engaged in battle! This means both characters may either choose to *act*, or *react* to one another’s actions.

Guys, I may revamp Harbor & Hearth into a wolf game to distance myself from warrior cats. It’s not that I dislike warriors now!!! It’s just that it’s becoming the source of my burn out.
More of a history question, but assuming Harborclan is about as close to a clan as they can be, who was Dawnstars/the first deputy?
There was a cat who devoted himself to not only Dawnstar, but to StarClan fully. He was known among the Felafolk as Hawk. He was named after his cunning vision and speed. If you wondered how he looked, he is frequently painted in reds. This implies some sort of darker pelt. Most consistently with it is a white underbelly, or rather a underbelly left uncolored, assumed to be white.
Hawk was like all Felafolk before Dawnstar, a rogue born Outsider. Those times were lawless you see, you only ever moved alone or with your kin. But never in a large joint group. No that was rare. Most cats couldn’t get along for that long, and would fight over trivial matters like food and mollies. Hawk, naturally stood out from the typical crowd. See he had a mindset different from his fellow feline, he often chose kindness and words before violence. Now don’t get me wrong, Hawk was a fearsome warrior. But he was wise.
It’s rumored he had out-fought a bear with just his wit alone, and was strong enough to swim against the crashing waves of the ocean to save a kit. He brought unity where there was none. He found family, when he had no family of his own. When Dawnstar came, and spoke to the Outsiders, Hawk was the first among them to understand his message.
He was the first to receive a full, warrior’s name. Dubbed “Hawkwood” for his strength, and reliability. He remained loyal, and always beside Dawnstar until his master’s death. Any conflict that Dawnstar’s light could not dissipate, Hawkwood destroyed in his wake.
He is mentioned often as a heroic figure, to be compared to Hawkwood is to be compared to Hercules! It’s a pretty tall compliment.
I’ve been trying to get on top of my life and personal affairs more lately, which has made me a happier person. My warriors interest may come off a bit more muted for awhile, since I’m making it a priority for me to take a break from GMing.
Though I’m in a warriors campaign right now, but I get to sit back and bit and be a player.
Dawg I’m dead tired, I got sick twice while editing this stupid video. Like genuinely my shit is fucked AGAIN I feel undead. The audio was trash as well so it made this thing a slog. I just don’t feel great about this one, and I’m trying not to beat myself up over it. It’s episode two and my sick guy brain just wants to throw the entirety of this project into the bin. Very much just not in a good headspace with SCJ rn. I’m sure I’ll perk back up once I’m feeling better and edit the third episode. I remember having a really fun time GMing that one. Woulda Coulda Shoulda… Not everything you make will be The Bomb Dot Com I suppose.

The reason your fantasy pantheon doesn't feel authentic is because you're starting from the wrong end. Real-world polytheism is syncretic – just deities from neighbouring cultures getting smashed together at high speed and leaving it for nerds with too much time on their hands to figure out how it makes sense. You are yourself a nerd with too much time on your hands. Don't start out asking yourself what domains make sense together. Pick domains at random and work backwards to invent a theology and metaphysics whereby of course the god of war is also the god of baked goods. What kind of silly question is that?
