My first game Uninvited: Security Service is out now on Steam and Itch FOR FREE!

The game is a simple and comedic stealth/exploration game inspired by horror games (but not being one) where you sneak around a mansion while evading getting your ass kicked by the butler that lives in there. Learn about the foolhardy protagonist and the stupid chain of events that led to the situation that’s happening there!

This is my first game and I’m very excited to finally being able to release it! It might not be perfect (far from it) but I hope that the 1-2 hours that the games takes to complete it’s fun for the people that plays it! I’ll be over the moon if that’s the case!

I don’t have many plans(since my family doesn’t do much in the summer in terms of travel and I don’t plan much) but heres my list of the first things that came to mind!:

Get better at drawing

FINALLY getting my *very cool* vocaloid project off the ground

Maybe learning how to sing?

Watch more Precure!!(I finally finished my first season a while ago but i haven’t been able to pickup on Precure lately)

Probably learn to animate?

It’s not much, learning the basics of how to make music, practice drawing more and working on my game more than would be legally allowed if I was on an actual job.

For today I have the puzzle/minigame system of the game! I wanted to be able to do puzzles that were a bit more complex than just finding something avoiding the enemy since that was a small problem my last game had. There are two modes, window and fullscreen, which I’ll use depending on how much I want the player to forget they are still existing in the map of the game.

Hi! I’ve been busy this past week with school stuff so I haven’t been able to do much progress, but now I’m done so I can work on the game more! For today I have the health bar of the game, the player sprite changing with damage.

I implemented a box to store the items! It was tricky to get it to work the way I wanted but I’m happy with the result. Also, I forgot to post the mid-week update because I had exams, so you get only one update this week.

I posted this two times in the art account before getting it right, I'm stupid.

I recently discovered how the side blogs thing works and I decided to make a new blog to dump the art I make so it doesn’t get mixed with the game deving stuff (although, if I do art related to the game I will either post it here and then reblogging it on the art account or vice versa), I also plan to start learning how to make music soon, so I might dump that in this new blog as well.

i have went through a lot of username changes because i can never stick to one name. my mind bubbles a lot. it is distressing yes..

my current username dollieclinic is the way it is because i was aiming for a soft morute style. i love porcelain dolls with laced dresses with flower prints and alll.. plus my nickname is dottie ! so "dollie" and dottie can go hand-in-hand ^^

as for "clinic", i wanted to give this sense of mourning, gentleness, and care in my username. i am very fond of hospitals almost as if they're my second home.

my username "airidakaramotto" is *mainly* based on my favorite pjsk character, airi!! she's the pink-haired character in my dividers!! I put her nickname and the very first line in her 1st focus song "more! jump! more!" to show how much I love her and the entire of more more jump, my favorite pjsk unit!!

So I’m named “Itsuuki” or some variation of that mainly because of Itsuki Myoudouin from Heartcatch Precure! She was my favorite character in the season and it inspired me to make my name “Itsuuki”!(another thing is that I didn’t want to be named “Itsuki” so I added an extra U)

So the Deck part of the name (and my avatar as an extension) comes from one of the characters I have in a game called Atlyss, and that character was named like that because when I was making it I was thinking about how cool would be playing the game on a Steam Deck, very stupid, I know. I’ll let here a photo I have of the character.

And the TC part means ‘Taba cogio’, which is a badly written way of saying “was taken” in Spanish. As you probably can guess, when I tried to use MrDeck the first time (on a steam account) the name was taken, so I added that.

I only have another mutual so @unimportanthollyhock if you want to give this thing a shot consider yourself tagged, if anyone else see this and wants to continue from here consider yourself indirectly tagged too.

I implemented healing items in the game as well as the ability to use items in the inventory, for now I haven’t implemented the player sprite changing with the damage or the death screen so you only get a label over the player to see the health.

I finished the last enemy type I needed to do for the game, this one also doesn’t have a name yet, but I call them Mimics. They pretend to be objects and they attack if you get too close, I need to figure out how to make the sprites so they are noticeable at sight but not too much, but for now they work well.

A drawing of Miki from the song Human. I absolutely adore this song and it's one of my favorite vocaloid songs, so I wanted to draw something from it. For the occasion I decided to try to do shading and I’m really happy of how it turned out!

I finished the second to last enemy kind of the game (they don’t have a final name yet), progress has been fast lately!

And as for what they do, I would explain it, but the placeholder sprite does that job for me.

I made another kind of enemy for the game, it’s the clarinetist, they basically just explodes and throws projectiles in multiple directions causing damage to anything in their way. With this one I just need to do two more enemy types and I’m done with all the enemies of the game, for now at least.

A drawing of Rin, it was suppose to have Len too but I didn’t had time to draw him so for now you only get Rin. I tried to get some simple shadows in the drawing for practice too.

One of the things that I needed to change for this game due to the implementation of a health system was the (main) enemy catching you in a hiding spot, well, I changed it and now she violently kicks you out of the hiding spot instead of just killing you inside.

I finally decided to try to make a design for the main antagonist of the game (that’s a lie, I actually made a lot but they were awful in the not good for a design way). Since the in-game behavior of the antagonist is inspired by Mr. X from Resident Evil 2, I decided use his design as inspiration too, I’m not fully convinced by it but at least it doesn’t look horrible (I hope) so we are working with this for now.

An option to open the doors manually and the new version of the keys are done!

I’m on my last moth of classes and I’m getting hit for all sides, so progress is going to be slower and smaller, I’ll try to get at least one progress post per week to not spend too much time without updates.

I also tried to do a more complicated angle than the ones I usually do to practice a bit and I'm happy how it turned out!
