Which phone takes the best selfies? Want to be the master of capturing your Moons over my hammy? Battle of Smart Phone Cameras!!!!
Powerful, fast, and now even water resistant, the Galaxy S5 is Samsung's latest offering into the hyper-competitive smartphone industry. Thrusting in everything from a crisp 1080p screen, to an agile quad-core Snadragon 801 processor, Samsung isn't holding much back to ensure that its new flagship is markedly better than its predecessor.
That includes bumping up the once 13-megapixel shooter to a 16-megapixel one. And throwing in some new editing tricks as well, like enabling users to change the focal point after they take a picture, and annotating photos. Read More
I got my Eye on you! Giving dirty looks is no longer just a fun past time, it's now a way to authenticate your self.
Tonight, we got a chance to see a demo of EyeLock myris, a USB-enabled iris identity authenticator. Iris authentication has been available to corporations and enterprises for years, but this product promises to be user-friendly or cost-effective enough for individuals to use in everyday situations. Instead of typing in usernames and passwords, place the EyeLock myris in front of your face to log in. Read More
I need you to sign some documents for me, just let me pull my printer out of my bag and print that for you. Pocket sized printer? Looks pretty cool
With what has to be one of the most ambitious Kickstarter projects to come along in a while, the folks behind this Mini Mobile Robotic Printer want to revolutionize the mobile office. Because of instead of carrying a page-wide device that has to pull paper through it, this little marvel will instead print directly on a piece of paper while it rolls around on top of it. Read More
the future of mobile phones? Not sure this will ever catch on in the main stream. Seems like something a hobbiest might get into.
Google teased us with a behind-the-scenes look at Project Ara's progress last week, and now it's giving would-be module makers some meat to dig into with its new Module Developers Kit. As the name implies, this release really isn't meant for laymen: it's a set of guidelines for how those bits should look and interact with the endo (Google's pet name for the phone skeletons you pop those modules into), along with schematics and code samples to play with. tilting my phone's bright screen to the ground so I wouldn't distract the other moviegoers. Slowly I blew into the device for a few seconds until my phone vibrated. Then I checked the result — a blood alcohol concentration of 0.052. Read More
DJI’s Phantom 2 Vision is pretty much the benchmark for ready-to-fly (RTF) quadcopters for aerial photos and video. Well, it was the benchmark until the new Phantom 2 Vision+ arrived.
The quadcopter itself seems unchanged from the Phantom 2 Vision. You’ll find all the same convenience features like color-coded, self-tightening propellers for easy installation and replacement, and a slot-loading battery pack (no connectors to mess with here) that delivers up to 25 minutes of flight time. If you don’t stop to charge up its batteries or read the manual, it can go from out of the box to up in the air in about 10 minutes.
Google and Sonos now "Playing" together.
Sonos supports far more music services than any other wireless audio system and its lead continues to grow.
Today, Sonos added the Google Play Music service to its roster of streaming audio services, bringing the company's total of supported apps to 32 in the US and 48 worldwide. Even more interesting is that the Google Play Music app will support Chromecast-style casting on Android. That means you'll be able to use the native Google Play Music app, hit the "cast" icon, and send music to any of the Sonos speakers in your home. Read More
