One day in the summer, I decided to take my film camera and take photos around Time Square, Manhattan. The camera I used is a Nikon N70 with a Ilford HP5 black and white film roll. This means that the film roll has no colors, only white and black. Out of the other photos I liked these the most. My favorite photo out of these three is the one with the bird in motion. I liked how everything is seeming to move, giving it that blur. Like it is the perspective of a New Yorker emerging from the subway. It is perfect that the only living thing in that photo is the bird, it makes the scene feel empty.

This is the third part of the "city logo" project. Along side a ticket to the fictional festival of the city we chose. We also had to make a poster in motion. I wanted to make it symmetrical and once again, included iconic things related to Peru. The llamas and Tumi. Not only did I make the Tumi and words move, I also had the rays of the sun move as well. First, this was done in Adobe Illustrator. And then I moved the work to Adobe Effects, to make it in motion.

This was an assignment that I worked on, by using Adobe Illustrator. We chose to remake a snack treat design. I chose pop-tarts and did three types of flavors. I wanted to create a design, that did not feel too empty like the original. I wanted to fill in some space for the new design. Later on, I feel that I want to post a different version of this remake.

This apart of my last project for Electronic design 1. The class was assigned to make tickets for a fictional event in the city we chose. I kept the design not too cluttered with designs. I chose the sun god again but changed the design. And I used llamas because they are an iconic animal in Peru. The font I chose was called "Jokerman", I thought that this would fit with the feeling of a festival I avoided using a font that looked serious. This was done in Adobe Illustrator.

This was a logo design I did for my Electronic Design 1 class. This project required us to use Adobe Illustrator and this was my second time using the application. This was for a project where we had to create a logo for a city, that is from a different country of our choosing. I chose Cusco, which is a city in Peru. I included the Incan sun god Inti as the letter O. And I used the tumi artifacts bottom as the letter U. I could not decide if I wanted to use a background color or not, so I decided to include one and another without it. I stuck with using the colors red and white, that represents the color of the Peruvian flag.

This was my photography that was accepted to be in the 2024 Annual Student Photography Exhibition. I edited this photo on adobe photoshop, but mostly on lightroom. The photo was not for sale but a few viewers asked me if it was, which surprised me. Because of how good the photo was and that I underestimated myself, on my skills in photography.

Choking first aid

I created a poster that lists instructions on how to help someone, when they are choking. This was for my graphic design concept course and It was my first time using Adobe Illustrator. It was kind of difficult to see how I would layout the design and what illustrations I would use. I drew characters from the series soul eater, when they are in their soul orb form. I did like the doodles I made and it made me smile when people recognized the characters. Other classmates also liked how my poster was horizontal, instead of it being vertical.

This was the final assignment for my graphic design class this semester. I have not done anything like this before but making a video that loops was interesting. I was able to do this with Adobe After Effects. The task was to make a small video/gif, that would repeat to resemble a screen saver animation, like on websites or apps. What was fun about this project was that, we had the option to use any pre existing characters. I chose characters from smiling Friends, Pim and Glep.

For this project I have went to a playground I use to go to when I was younger. I remember going there with friends and relatives a long time ago. The pictures you see in the middle of the collage, are what were my favorite parts of the playground. From the swings to the handlebars and climbing up the yellow net. There are some photos that are double sided because it represents how I would go back to them twice. Surrounding the center photos, are parts of the playground house I also liked, although not as much as the ones in the center. Overall, the photos show how I remember seeing it. It was supposed to be from my perspective when I was younger. Whether it be from a distance as I look back whenever I leave the playground or up close.

Rooftop:

For the final project I want to have photos of the views of my rooftop. I would like to capture what I am able to see on top of the building. There are other homes, apartments, delis, and restaurants, that anyone can see. I also would like to take photos because I remember that me, my friends, and my brother would go up there to hang out. Now a days everyone has gone their separate ways and I rarely go to the roof unless it is to check on it.            This is because the roof is old and needs some repairing.

Playground:

There is this playground that I remember going to a lot when I was young. I would go there with friends and family.  Especially, during summer nights. It is about 30 minutes from where I live, and it is still there to this day. Not much has changed, with only a few new adjustments. There are also handball and basketball courts. Around the playground, there is a meat shop, Dunkin donuts, and a high school. However, there is a new place that opened called industry city. Sometimes, when I pass by it, I still see kids and parents go there.

Times square:

Another place I have in mind for this final project is times square. I considered this place because I do like digital billboards, and it feels so lively there. While it is a tourist spot and always packed with a lot of people, I do have some fond memories of times square. I went there with friends back in high school because it was election day. Also, my relatives when they first came to New York, I do like seeing my family happy when visiting times square. I can capture the busy streets and billboards.

Another idea that I had for this project was to have a person, that would hold up different paintings. And each painting would be a different color, so the person would wear different colored clothes to match with the paintings.

For this assignment I wanted my friend to have red balloons for props. It would start from the person holding four balloons, smiling. However, the balloons would be popped one by one, as the photos progress. Until the end were all balloons are deflated. Even though the balloons are destroyed, they are still smiling and carrying them. It would show how the person is still happy and not letting anything from ruining their day.

For this project I want to include a prop that would be standing out from the rest of the composition. And it would be followed by the same person, holding it in different places in public. I was unsure of whether it be shot close or far.

I was thinking about that these series of photos would have the red balloons. And it would have a start to finish of the balloons going from 4 to all of them being destroyed. The person would still carry the balloons.
