After watching the 8th episode of The Amazing Digital Circus. All I can say is that.. I'm grieving HARD ( TДT)
Well I watched the episode 9 the Last Act, and I have mixed feelings about it.
! - SPOILERS - !
I think the ending was fine, really just fine and I was ok with having the conclusion be to accept that they are a digital concept and will live and have fun adventures for eternity with eatch other.
My rambling will be small and this is in my opinion, don't feel forced to agree with me. I'm just writing this because it's been on my mind lately.
I'm stuck with a few questions or thoughts. In the why, obviously to 'live' longer (because of Scratch's brain condition), but how was the company C&A apart of it? Did they support the idea? And if yes, I dont think it would be wise to leave it in a abandoned building. Wouldn't it be still developed into something more? If it was seen that it worked in successfully capturing the essence of morality and uniqueness of the person. I may need to know more about this through the creators blog/account since I'm not understanding much from the ending.
Also the brain scans being brought up early caught me off guard and the reaction of both Zooble and Jax seen in the beginning were realistic and did make me feel bad, for all of them in general.
When it came to Jax abstract I wished it happened on screen and not hidden like a mystery. Somehow that brought everyone together and cried for him. Also everyone in my theater and I were grossed out by how he sees and believes he treats Gangle like.
Ok, so about Jax's flashbacks with Ribbit. How is he the center of the episode when there is little development in accepting that he is in the wrong for pushing his owm friends away?? Heck even Caine came back and choose to redem his mistake SO FAST. I understand that what he said was personal and traumatizing for him, but he didn't have to tell Ribbit that she is pushy and wants to manipulate him. ? It set me off in the wrong way that he didn't want to communicate and solve this issue? It may not be easy to talk about but he most have said it to her FOR A REASON in her room. It's just, like, why they did he get to live and not Ribbit. Also Kaufmo, he is chill as hell? If it weren't for the loneliness, obsession of the exit, and abandonment of Jax, he would have met Pomni.
Continuing with Jax, I've seen people draw Jax as transfem, and thats cool I love that I'm trans myself. However, I fulky thought this was a headcannon I've seen artist draw him as. I DIDNT KNOW THE CREATOR CONFIRMED THIS INFORMATION. And the scene used for as evidence (most popular I've seen so take it with a grain of salt) is the scene where Ribbit puts a bow on Jax and he blushes. Maybe not from embarrassment but the action that shows unexpected acceptance.
But in that scene all I saw was vulnerability, of being able to fully open up to a friend that doesn't fully know you but trust you nonetheless.
And it makes me think that, Jax wouldn't have pushed away his own friends into abstraction if he learned to accept himslef. Is that why he makes fun of/insults Zooble so much? Because they accepted themselves. Like in the beach episode.
.
At a personal level, goodbye Pomni, Zooble, and Gangle. I hardly got to know you deeply.
