Day 158
Today’s paper was thin and couldn’t hold up against the rubber band.
Day 157
The next stage of the Lysiloma cycle. The puff-ball flowers have turned into long pods. These will hang out all summer in the Phoenix heat.
Day 156
Ho Tai is not very happy today. Record high of 116 degrees. Thankfully the AC is working fine and it is a comfy (as long as it’s dry and the fan is going) 82 degrees on his shelf.
Day 155
My favorite drink, Long Island Iced Tea as seen from the table surface looks quite tall at the Perfect Pear Bistro.
Day 154
The block wall along the west side of the property has developed a crack between the courses. The places where you can see white in the center is where the gap is. Tree roots are lifting a portion of the wall.
Day 153 - June 1
Schools are out. Zoe’s calendar keeps working.
Day 152
Spotted a dove foraging for nest material this morning. Must be a nest under construction nearby.
Day 151
Ironwood tree flowers. Seen from a distance these flowers give a lavender look to the tree, but up close they have a fine detail of bright purple.
Day 150
Lisa got lots of flowers for her birthday.
Day 149
Arizona Republic Sports Blunder. What’s wrong with this picture? Answer below.
The NL West has New York and Washington in place of Arizona and San Diego.
Day 148
Lovina’s mums.
Day 147
A dove feasting on the fruit of our Saguaro. It’s doing it’s part to spread the seeds randomly about, keeping the species alive here in the desert.
Day 146
Getting the Sedona dust washed off the Acura.
Day 145
A fountain with dripping water at the Shops at Piñon Pointe.
Day 144
At what used to be Shugrues Hillside Grill and has been re-decorated and re-named The Hudson, my sweetie and I enjoy the view and a delicious dinner.
Day 143
On our patio at the Hyatt Piñon Pointe in Sedona, Lovina is relaxing, reading a book.
Day 142
At the entrance of Roy’s restaurant in Chandler is a large wine ‘cellar’ and prominently featured and in its own glass case is a bottle of cognac. One of the most expensive in the world. It is Louis XIII de Rémy Martin. Made from a blend of that is from 40 to 100 years old. Retail can be as high as $3,000. If you have to ask, you can’t afford it. Fletch would take two and put it on the Underhill’s bill.
