Alice could hear her own heartbeat in her ears. She had tried to pull something together after her classes but she didn’t have very many “nice” clothes and she didn’t have a use for button downs and slacks. But she had found a leather jacket with a white tanktop under it and some black jeans. She tugged at her collar as she followed the man who was walking her to the elevator. He was an older man,in a dark blue suit and an exasperated look on his face as he pressed the third floor button. Alice rolled her shoulders as her eyes focused on the floor, her hand patting against her leg wishing the elevator music would stop..
When the elector door opened Alice's eyes immediately landed on the four figures in front of her. “Ah Stephen, I assure you took care of her?” Agatha spoke with a tone Alice could tell meant she and the man..Stephen had known one another. He huffed out a breath as he motioned to Alice like it was obvious. “She’s here isn’t she Harkness?” Agatha lip twitched slightly as she eyed Alice “That she is..” Alice's face flushed as she averted her eyes. “You can go now, Strange, we'll take her.” Lilia stepped forward her hand gently taking Alice nudging her out the elevator. When the elevator closed Alice felt four pairs of eyes land on her..she felt her body tense up at all the attention.
“Umm..I don’t really now what to say..” Alice mumbled rubbing the back of her neck as Lilia was guiding her to the end of the hall with a huge door. “You don’t need to say anything dear. We just wanted to bring you over and offer a explanation..and maybe an opportunity.” Lilia said as her hand ran over Alice’s shoulder as Alice shuddered and rolled her shoulders as her face flushed. Jen unlocked the door as she opened it letting the others go in before her casting a wink to Alice as she passed. Alice had never seen such a spacious room..her mom used to have a decent home before it was repossessed by the bank after funds drained. Alice shook that thought from her head as she was guided to a seat.
She sat down and felt all eyes on her she twitched a little in her seat at all this attention. “Have you ate?” Jen asked, leaning against the table. Alice shrugged, rubbing the back of neck. “This morning I had a granola bar.” She heard hums of displeasure around the room. She averted her gaze looking anywhere but at the women in the room. Her hands were sweaty and her foot was thumping against their floor. She was nervous..she didn’t know what they wanted from her she didn’t even fully understand why she came. This was way out of her comfort zone.
“Relax angel. We don’t bite.” Rio’s voice snapped Alice out of her state as she looked up at the detective, getting met with brown eyes that made Alice think the early statement was a lie. “Well they don’t anyway.” Rio smirked before winking at Alice and walking closer grabbing Alice’s chin with her hand. “We have a lot to talk about.” Her thumb brushed over Alice’s bottom lip. Alice blinked, feeling like a deer caught in headlights.
“Rio.” Lilia's voice made Rio back off which Alice would have never assumed but the tone her voice made Alice straighten her posture slightly. She seen Jen chuckle looking at her with her head tilted.
“We have something to offer you.” Agatha’s sentence made Alice’s attention snap to her. When the other three womens heads wiped around to Agatha;Alice could see different reactions. Lilia sighed as she looked like this was not the way she wanted this conversation to start. Jennifer eyes narrowed towards Agatha which to Alice seemed like a look that could kill. And Rio’s smirk grew wider as her eyes flickered back to Alice like she knew something Alice wouldn’t ever expect.
“Agatha, we were going to talk about it after dinner.” Lilia rubbed her temple. The director shrugged her shoulders “The poor dear looked moments away from combusting.” Agatha's voice was falsely sweet as she looked at Alice..something about that condescending tone like she was picking Alice’s nervousness apart made her heart beat speed up.
“I’ll cut to the chase dear. We think you're pretty..and well I think you're interesting.” Agatha sat her wine down as she stood up making her way to Alice. She circled the student once Alice felt her eyes going over every inch of her body. She couldn’t decide if she wanted to bolt or stand there and hope Agatha would keep thinking she was the most "interesting" thing around right now. Agatha picked up a somewhat thick packet that rested on their counter top.
“I’m not going to ease you into it. You look like you can handle yourself.” Agatha rose an eyebrow to Alice as she held out the document. Alice took them looking down at the bold font right at the top..everything else in the room went quiet and almost non existent as she read the words.

“Atta girl..” Alice didn’t see the way Agatha's lips twitched up as she watched Alice’s reaction.
