I’ve seen my fair share of Sylus x independent reader and I think they’re good, but its always about money. What would Sylus do with an emotionally independent reader? A lot of his character is based on his partner having enough confidence to give him affection while being teased, but what if that didn’t work? What if the reader chickened out every time because they got scared but laughed it off?
Sylus: ‘Come here kitten, let me take care of you.’
Reader: ‘Oh I’m fine for sure yeah um im just gonna go lay down by myself thanks for the offer though!’
Personally I think Sylus wouldn’t know what to do. He shows his affection through jokes and taunting so I think a very emotionally sensitive and guarded reader would stump him.
Sylus: ‘Aw, sweetie wanted to see me after a long day hmm? Couldn’t stay away I see.’
And Sylus would think nothing of it but reader would just-
Reader: ‘lmao ACTUALLY that is crazy nevermind though im gonna go on a walk by myself BYEEEEE’
Obviously a bit more serious but you get what I’m saying. I think it’s a really curious idea and if anybody likes it maybe I’ll try to write it who knows.

This man supports you aggressively.
