Rubbing her eyes as she sat up slowly in her bed, Andrea glanced beside her, feeling a warmth from someone. She wasn’t entirely certain who it was at first glance and that was cause for mild concern. As blue eyes traveled higher, she drank in the bare back of the person seemingly asleep beside her. Short red hair splayed out against the pillow and her eyes fluttered.

She felt her chest grow tight and she cupped a hand over her mouth. Oh. That was Alex Danvers still asleep in her bed and she had a very thin memory of what actually transpired between the two of them last night. All she knew was that her head was already beginning to throb from all of the liquor they’d consumed.

“Alex,” She licked her lips, pulling the blankets up to her shoulders. “Sweetheart,” She traced her fingertips along their bare back slowly, hoping it would coax them awake.

She was starting to get used to falling asleep in Zor-El’s arms, feeling her warmth against her back every night when they fell asleep together. But this was something she would always enjoy the most: the subtle excitement pressing against her ass as the sun crept through the cracks around the curtains.

Andrea leaned back against her, pulling Zor-El’s arm a little tighter around her waist. “Mm, you awake, babe?”

“So, sleep, mi amor.” She shrugged lightly and patted her thighs. “You can put your head on my lap. I’ll play with your hair, if you’d like?” Andrea asked, flashing a bright smile in their direction.

John returned the smile easily, though his expression soon shifted to something apologetic as she woman spoke.

“Of course; I know,” he raised his hands in an open demonstration of passivity, “I’m sorry, ma’am.”

She was almost thankful that he had manners, so he clearly had his wits about himself. She finished smoothing out her blouse and smiled lightly, extending a hand to him. 

“Andrea Rojas,” She tilted her head lightly. “I can’t say we’ve ever met before.”

“Yup, you caught me. Too full of myself to acknowledge that all you want to do is help me, when I very clearly do not need your help.” Andrea nodded back. She bent down to lift the lasagna tray from the oven and set it on top of the stove. “You opened a bottle of wine, right?” She rose a brow to them. “Glasses are in the cabinet to the left of the fridge.”

“Don’t go.” (Kara!)

Taking a deep breath, Andrea gently pinched at the bridge of her nose. “Darling, where would I go even if I wanted to leave?” She asked softly, licking her lips and shaking her head. “As much as you may not like it, I’m here to stay, Kara.” She murmured, squaring her jaw a little. This was one of the prime examples of why you should never mix business with pleasure. Being her girlfriend’s boss kind of made fighting as a couple extra difficult.

“I was going to order something for lunch. Are you hungry? Maybe we can work this out over food.”

Her nose scrunched at the half-hearted proposal and Andrea rose a brow, scanning the other woman’s face. Blue eyes fluttered and she forced a dry laugh. “Oh, you were being serious,” Licking her lips, she glanced to her hand and to Zor-El’s. “Typically a proposal comes with a ring, even if it’s one made of paper or plastic.” She murmured, shifting a little beside her girlfriend. “Besides, why would you want to.. ruin what we have with marriage?”

They had been dating for a few months now but the intimacy had only just been turned up some. And she actually really enjoyed being able to be closer to Nia, to have an excuse to be closer to her.

Pushing the door of the shower aside, Andrea tried her best to be as careful and quiet as she could when climbing in but she nearly fell, thankfully gripping the handle and bracing herself against the cool tile. “Hope you don’t mind the company.” She spoke just loud enough to be heard over the water but her voice was still quiet.

“I think, this is going to be my seat today.” Andrea smiled, settling into Zor-El’s lap and looping an arm appreciatively around her neck. “Is that alright with you, mi amor? Because if it’s not, I’ll move and just, sit next to you. A much less adequate seat, if I daresay.”

“Yes, I think, because I was capable of.. not getting hit by a truck on my own.” She let out a slow breath. Being helpful was usually her thing; it was hard for her to accept the help from anyone else, even something as simple as being pulled back from oncoming traffic. “I’m sorry.”
