What?
*reblogs feminist post and claims to judge everyone, who doesn’t defend women*
*claims to have problems with Sophie Hunter’s actions*
*makes fun of Sophie Hunter’s looks, dresses, make up, mannerism etc.*
*reblogs another post defending women to show what an amazing feminist I am*
*realises that being a feminist does not mean not having opinions- negative or positive- on other women*
*realises that this post is literally judging a woman for judging women*
*not that said woman is a good person*
*see how this works*
*its not that easily definable*
Hello!
The point I was trying to make is the following:
When asked, the Skeptics often claim they do not hate Sophie, they just have problems with her actions. (eg: lying on her CV, faking a pregnancy, being a drug addict/escort, making BC unhappy etc.) Instead of making an argument for these claims (or explaining why being a sexworker would make a woman unworthy of a man’s affection) they call Sophie a whore and compare her to a dog because of her looks.
When they attacked BC’s publicist for “mismanaging” his affairs they criticized how she dresses.
A woman’s looks has nothing to do with her actions or opinions, and attacking someone for them isn’t particularly feminist.

Spot the Difference
Men’s Rights Activists: Star Wars: The Force Awakens lost millions of dollars because of our boycott!!!!!
Skeptics: Our numbers are growing, it’s only a question of time until Marvel fires BC!!!!
Friendly reminder to the Skeptics that Benedict isn’t playing Richard III, the historical figure, in the upcoming Hollow Crown series, but Richard III, the Shakespeare character, based on the historical figure.
Richard III (the play) was historical propaganda for the Tudors, which means that Richard III (the King) was depicted in the most unflattering, negative way possible (probably influenced by Thomas More less than flattering portrayal). Historians have known for a loooong time that Richard III didn’t have a hunch, a limp, or a withered arm.
Being disappointed because Benedict played the character as depicted in the play only shows how ignorant the Sour Grapes Brigade are about Shakespeare, English history, and culture in general. And, of course, how desperate they are to find a reason to criticize him.
Tell me nobody has done that? I mean I know there’s ignorance but…

I shouldn't be this surprised, yet I am
Oh Gosh BC did something. I need to find something to criticise.
Possible reasons why OP and BC were a low profile couple, who got little attention: both of them were unknown.
In comparison BC, a year ago, was an Oscar nominated actor who just got cast as Doctor Strange. Hence more media attention.
But I am dead set on appearing like a bumbling idiot and say that the real reason is that OP is much better than SH and OP&BC were really in love.
xoxoxo a real media expert
Prfail: yapyap escort blackmail yap yap ho Mrtabby: your explanation is a joke. Prfail & friends: OMFG HARRASSMENT!! REPORTED!! BLOCK THIS PERSON!!!!
LMAO
And the funny thing is that they think @mrtabbysays is rainbowjay2… wrong Country, wrong continent, wrong age, wrong EVERYTHING.
wrong species. I’M A CAT.
In all honesty, I miss PrPal, she was so wrong it was hilarious.
Poor, poor, poor Christopher. His daddy is working and BC (OMG) has a social life. Christopher can’t spend enough time with his dad. His mom is probably at home because I’ve spent month mocking Sophie for not working enough, but who cares? I just want to portray Sophie and Benedict as bad parents.
Every single child’s parents work and spend time away from home. Baby Christopher’s parents are super privileged since they can earn an incredible amount of money in a relatively short period of time and then spend months at home. But really who the fuck cares about logic and the real world, when I am punishing Ben for choosing Sophie over me?
But the real question is this: What happens with those kids whose parents spend all their time on the internet calling Benedict Cumberbatch’s wife a whore? Am I allowed to question their parenting skills?
So, it’s been over a year since Benedict got engaged and married and I still see Skeptics complaining about the „nannies”. Of course they mostly complain about Sophie but they still have time to throw a few punches at something someone allegedly said. (That someone is usually an underage girl tbh). And this vicious engagement with the fandom, who just wants to be left alone is the most baffling part for me.
I admit that fandom tends to be annoying. The simple reason is that fandoms are huge, and every fan has a different outlook on life, we have different prior experiences, education, sexuality, age etc. There is no way we would all magically agree on everything, and we want to talk about the same issues in different ways. Of course, we lose our tempers after a while.
BUT you don’t have to engage in every part of a fandom. It takes a lot of following/unfollowing but you can find that group of people, which makes you happy. I have never been forced to interact with people I did not want to. So, if the skeptics are annoyed by the nannies, our dear hateful friends can go and not look at their posts. No need to be nasty to anyone.
But in the past year the skeptics managed to normalize truly terrible behaviour. Now it’s totally okay to call someone a whore, a bitch, to be homophobic and transphobic just because that someone unintentionally hurt your feelings. And this is where the Skeptics phenomenon slowly destroys happy fandom life.
Sometimes it seems like Sophie Hunter is just a flimsy excuse to be as horrendous to others as humanly possible.
Yes, yes, and yes again. They don’t have to search madly through blogs that post things they don’t like and then mither endlessly about them and they don’t have to wish people would get pushed off cliffs or flattened by trains, complete with image, either, or wish babies were born disabled, or dead, and they don’t have to say horrendously revolting things about drugs. I could go on. But it’s almost endless so I won’t.
We can be safe in the fact that there are the group of us who don’t engage in such awful, draining, negative behaviour, and have chosen instead to bring levity back to such an awful thing. I’ve gotten to know you lovely people and I am thankful to spread the love and logic in this fandom where we can.
While the behaviour of the skeptics and their anons is disgusting and makes you turn your head, I think and think again and again that these bloggers do not have any power. They think they do, that they can influence a person’s life from their words and ‘truths’ but they cannot. No one has that power. We can’t stop the tides moving or the sun setting. They cannot make Benedict Cumberbatch despise his wife or leave her. They cannot erase his son from history. They cannot get him fired from films or make him out to be a horrible person to make themselves feel better.
And that sticks in their craw from now until the end of time.
No, they cannot hurt Benedict or Sophie but they can fuck up online fandom really quickly.

It’s really hard to see or hear anything because of Sophie and Benedict. They are everywhere. Mostly because I have my head deeply buried in their asses and I have no intention to move.
Drug addiction: *extremely serious issue which destroys lives*
Me: Ben's a drug addict! Sophie is a drug addict! My iphone is a drug addict! Anything's better than accepting the truth.

When multiple people confirm BC has a son, and he’s really happy it logically means the exact opposite. Totally. Is the kid secretly Santa??????
me: I am so disgusted by Sophie Hunter!!! She uses sick children to promote herself!!!
me: *uses sick children to support her conspiracy theories and hate woman who married BC*
me: You know who is so much better than SH, the recent mother, who spent her time with her husband doing charity before Christmas? ME, the blogger, who accused the hospital of signing a deal with SH for PR.
Why? Why would SH visit sick children with her husband? Is it possible she wanted to be there and the children were happy to see her? Why am I such a doucebag I would rather see the children less happy than know SH and BC went somewhere together?
Some people might find this link really useful in the future:

You know, if you want to claim someone is doxing you, you might want to know what doxing actually is.
I think my favourite passage is: In addition to these, a hacker may use other methods to harvest information. These include information search by domain name and location searching based on an individual’s IP address
Isn’t it exactly what the cheesecake person did to the SH fansites?
