i’ll never get over the fact that in the last gif merlin is holding arthur’s dead body - there’s no life in it - he’s gone - and yet he holds him like could cut a piece of his beating heart and replace arthur’s - he did everything to stop it - to keep his friend alive - even now that he’s dead - he refuses to give up - what do i have to do - give me the words for the spell - that can bring him back - notice how he says HE CAN’T LOSE HIM - he makes no mention of Camelot - or its people - yes arthur might be the king of camelot - but he’s my friend - and i love him - more than anything - everything i did - i did it for him - i promised him i would protect him - or die at his side - if i lose him - i have nothing left to live for (via mumfordness)
