Lore undercut! Tw: Self harm, suicide.
The blond one’s name is Cecilia and the one with black hair is Alma, Cecilia was bewitched with the ability that her blood is healing, anyone who drinks it will heal any wound that they have, while Alma is he immortal roommate who is tired of live and tries to find ways to kill herself but can’t because Cecilia always finds her and hurts herself to heal her.
Cecilia hurts herself in many ways, cutting her wrists, breaking her nose blah blah blah, anything that’s quick and bloody to keep her obsessive love alive, Alma pretends she’s okay to stop Cecilia to hurt herself, she hides every wound, even the ones that were not self inflicted, that were caused by mere clumsiness.
The setting is Mexico’s northwest in the late 90’s and early 00’s but the decade might change to something more anachronic
I want to write a magical realism novel about them one day, I’d like to explore the topic of how exhausting and harming can it be to give all of yourself to save other people who don’t want to be saved.
