Hello lovelies 😘 I would like to take some time to apologize for my absence. Things have been crazy stressful for me, my fiancè and I both started new jobs, his in a city 2 hours away, and me stuck in this stupid small town. Our hours are completely flipped, I work days and he works nights. We are trying desperately to get out of the finacial debt we are in but things are looking up! I'm getting a transfer to his city in the next few months and we almost have enough money saved for first and last! I promise I will have more poetry for you in the next few days. Thank you for the support, you are all so kind 💖

Metaphors drip off my lips like syrup slow and sweetly I talk in prose and breathe out analogies in quick succession. I’m a loaded gun Bullets like similes fly out personified and kill doubt. I think in quotations and have ink stains on my hands writing is my way out of this corrupt world.

All I need is time but I am afraid that an eternity wouldn’t be long enough I’m afraid my patience is running thin thinner than the ice I am walking on I’m trying so hard to figure the universe out but I am starting to think it’s not possible. There is a nebula inside of me and it’s collapsing self destructing I just hope that instead of ceasing to exist I might turn into a star But until then I am trapped within the chaos that is suffocating my insides I may seem like I have it figured out but every time I think I do I am transported even farther from the truth

I always use to forget what the rest of the world looked like Because I kept my eyes on the ground I use to memorize the fibres on my shoelaces Too scared to look around. The streets were alive With unimaginable creatures Lurking inside bodies Of normal looking people They disguised themselves in Innocence But would drip with malevolence. I kept to myself Inside of this crowded hell Until a boy with a masquerade Of anger Broke my impenetrable shell He took my hand And absolutely everything melted away The doubt The anxiety The pain. I don’t just see the world Now, I can taste the stars on my tongue

Take me back to a time when things weren’t like this Where I could run and not care about my lungs catching fire Where I could laugh and it not be a force of noise wrestling itself out of my shredded throat Where the cool air enveloped me in its comforting embrace and I could smell the damp earth beside my waterfall I use to fear jumping into puddles now I want to drown in them. I use to be scared of the darkness Now darkness I’ve become And I find solitude when I am alone However when I am I feel it ache within my bones I am a complex A girl with too much heart and not a little soul I use to be full of life Now I’m not even an ember, just burnt out coal.
