“Nope, I don’t have their number”, she said. “You really think I can call the maintenance at nearly 12 AM?” Still, she opened the homepage of the university to look the number up.
She found the phone number of the janitor and called it. She didn’t expect someone picking up, but after a few rings, someone actually did.
“Hi, my name’s Hana Song”, Hana explained.
“You know what time it is?”, the voice of a woman said, and she sounded pissed as fuck.
“Yeah. But it’s an emergency”, Hana piped.
“It better is”, the woman growled.
Ugh, Hana didn’t want to deal with this grumpy fella, at least not if there was a better option - which there was. She shoved the cellphone into Franziska’s hand. “She wants to speak with you~!”, she announced to her. There, problem solved, she thought while leaning against the wall and popping in another bubblegum.
Suddenly, Hana shoved the cellphone into Franziska’s hand.
“Wha-”, she started, then put the phone to her ear in an automatical reaction.
“Is this a prank?”, she could hear a pretty grumpy voice on the other end of the line.
“No, it is not”, Franziska answered, immediately annoyed. “We’re locked inside a room on campus. The emergency exits are not working.”
“Are you being serious?”, the voice asked again.
“Do I sound like I’m joking?”, Franziska said.
“Fine. Give me the adress.”
Franziska gave her the adress, and the woman hung up.
“Judging by these levels of incompetence, I doubt we will get out of here before tomorrow”, Franziska said, crossing her arms and tapping her fingers impatiently.
