Most people don’t even understand the significance of that BET hasn’t been Black owned for some years now. Kendrick stated that “Urban support” is important but what little we have in the media is mostly trash.

TVOne/RadioOne, OWN, Aspire, and BounceTV is all we have on the mainstream that’s owned by us, made by us for us. I’m just waiting for Hip-Hop programming to get the a-ok to be put on those stations. Then, the games will truly begin.
