They are so adorably clueless (except for Ryan!) and absolutely beautiful... This is unbearable ! Love them so much !
DUUUUUDE ! Damn ! That movie was SO very, very good. My man Ryan did it again. And the cast ! Ramonda ! Namor ! Shuri ! Okoye ! Ayo and Anenka ! the tributes to T’Challa/Chadwick ! HAITI !!! And last but not least : the best chemistry and tension filled and “oh so many reasons NOT to be a” ship of the whole MCU SHURIxNAMOR. Like DUUUUDE !!!
Soon to be former president Trump : stop whining. You Lost. Get lost. Next.
THIS. MADE. MY. DAY. And also, the pride in Paris !

On Black womanhood, representation and French cinema - A must read, by Afro-french academic and film maker Mame-Fatou Niang
France's elites were quick to condemn the gilets jaunes protesters as stupid and backward. But as novelist Édouard Louis writes, they're ju
Beautiful piece about the Yellow Vests movement in France by the always so eloquent Édouard Louis.
All you need to know about the Yellow Vests movement in France : read this couple of tweets by Pamela Anderson. She gets it. She KNOWS ! Thanks and respect.
Drums, praise, libation—call it a griot moment, or atalaku, the Congolese practice of shouting out patrons and friends in the club—you get the idea. It’s completely African. It’s also completely multiracial, like the team. And, because this is after all France’s national soccer team, it is ipso facto completely French.

Good point. But Trevor was right too on that : “Why can’t they be both?”. They ARE BOTH. We are both !
PS: oh, and Gérard Araud... STFU !
Mamoudou Gassama, a 22-year old Black man from Mali, without hesitation scaled four stories of a Paris building to save a toddler facing certain death. Mamoudou is an undocumented immigrant. He knew getting caught would mean deportation.
But instead, France has a new hero. President Macron thanked him, granted him French citizenship plus a job at the French fire brigade.
Shout out to Mamoudou Gassama!
👑 Truly Amazing Indeed! 👑
Hey, non-French folks! A lil heads up about what’s not “amazing” about all that.
1) our bitch-ass president is showing a lot of love to this dude by saying he’s gonna grant him French nationality bc he was moved by his heroism, but that it’s gonna be exceptionnal.
At the same time, he’s pushing for one of the worst set backs in immigration reforms ever; he let white supremacists & nationalist organize militias to forcefully stop migrants at our borders (they even loaned a chopper); he joked about the number of Comorians who drown every year when crossing oceans; he is making it so that ppl who actually HELP migrants get prosecuted and/or forced to be on house arrest (and their names get permanently inked in the authorities’ registeries)
2) white nationalists in France are obviously yelling at how Fake this story is and ppl just let them do that
3) the “mainstream left” is applauding Mamoudou and using him to show that “migrants can be good”, as if there needed to be conditions such as “you need to be able to be Superman” to be accepted in another country when one flees one’s homeland.
Globally, many ppl agree about the fact that Macron is a typical right-wing president.
So please, remember this: yes, Mamoudou Gassama was heroic. But every action you see coming from Macron is pure bullshit, and it ain’t bc some feel like he cleans up nicer than Trump that he’s actually better.
(and I, for once, am tired of seeing his little gobelin teeth everywhere in France, so if I could catch a break on Tumblr, that’d be fantastic)
This, all of this. See also this drawing of Tjeerd Royaards.
Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong'o and Ta-Nehisi Coates on the cultural significance of Black Panther
