My Second Proposal: Detailed

Concept Topic - Bullying

Here's a picture of how I'm going to execute my ideas:

What I'm specifically researching: -What is bullying? -The roles of bullying: bully, victim, bystander -people's stories/interviews: victim, bully, their social relations (family, teacher, friends, etc.) -bullying campaigns -effects in bullying (suicide, depression, etc.) -ways to deal with bullying My execution: Youtube:  + Create short videos on bullying that will link one another in a playlist:     (Target audiences will be in mind for these videos)          -intro: an intro video that introduces the other videos.      -educational: what is bullying, personal inside stories (need permission from people), ways to stop bullying. (TA: students and parents)      -creative: narrative that creates an imaginative situation through analogy. (TA: children)      -ending: the conclusion that includes: reflective questions and an organization that deals with bullying.  + Create pamphlets that explains bullying and other additional information. (provided as a link in the description) (TA: parents or even teachers?) My goal/aim: -Bring awareness but also clarity to the issue of bullying. -Have others be aware of their surroundings on this issue. -Support organizations on bullying. -Promotion of anti-bullying. Three Project Proposals

            first project I want to propose is to create an animation about the awareness of our technology and how society should handle its advancements.  For this message, I am planning to create a narrative while using analogy that reflects our society and technology with other imagery that are somewhat similar. My target audience is toward any age group but mainly toward children because of the humoristic/cartoon look I may incorporate as the aesthetic look. The research on technological advancements and how human beings interact with them is a common and modern day problem. This project is there to also raise awareness of our cultural change and some concerns about our growth for the future.

            My second proposed project is to make a children’s storybook on discussing heavy social issues about dealing with brokenness or problems based on modern standards. Similar to the first project, the use of narrative and analogy will be heavily played to show a lighter imagery in a deep subject matter. Again, the target audience is toward to any age group but mostly children. The style I plan to use is more detailed compared to the first project, but it will have an aesthetic that is somewhat simplified. I plan to research about common day struggles that people in different age group may face whether it’s poverty, bullying, loneliness, etc. Due to this broad topic I will have to restrain to lighter subjects and narrow down some options. I will need to research on the social aspects as well as psychological affects on a person. The goal for this project is for awareness of humanity in a way that each individual may or may not relate but to also create a story that will question our ways of lifestyle. In a way this project is meant to promote an encouragement for those who struggle in their daily lives to acknowledge that they are not the only ones dealing with these certain issues.

            The third proposal is to make a film that comments on the struggles of having immigrant parents who come to America for a better lifestyle for their children/child. These struggles may include communication difficulties, cultural clash and unmet expectations. This is going to be a documented film that will incorporate interviews of children and their parents about their life in America. Certain research about immigration, the American “dream” and etc. will be needed for a better understanding of this subject matter. The target audience is relatively anyone but specifically for immigrant-born families. Similar to the second project, the aim of this project is to encourage those who are facing this particular issue. Another intended goal is to bring awareness to these issues amongst others who did not acknowledge them.
