"Avacyn, my angel. What has befallen you? I will find you. And those who block me shall answer to my sword.”
— Sorin Markov, Dark Ascension Trailer
And then he did NOTHING for the entire block
Correction, he fought off Tybalt, he would have gotten to Avacyn if Thalia hadn’t been tricked into breaking the Hellvault first.
I don’t know if fighting off Tibalt is an achievement, so much as it is beating up that annoying kid on the playground…
Argentina vs. Germany. It’s time to start.

Read The Hunter Cannot Pity
Get your lore on with what’s happening with Garruk.
So let’s talk timelines!
Judging by the fact that our protagonist is fighting Werewolves early on in the story and by the time he returns to Avacyn after “months” of study and wandering she’s out of the Helvault, it looks like this might take place during Avacyn’s skip year, initially. That places this maybe a couple of years post-Conflux. So, not that long since Tezzeret became Carmot. If… if that’s still Canon.
Anyway, the Ethersworn never seemed to link Carmot/Etherium to Planeswalkers pre-conflux, that I can recall, so that’s a post-Conflux change. Interestingly, they mention “The Knight”—Elspeth—but don’t mention Tezzeret. It’s quite possible then that they don’t know Tezzeret is Carmot. If… if that’s still Canon. [Sigh]
This also puts the events of M15 sometime after Avacyn’s return. Again, the phrase “months” rather than “years” suggests to me that there’s not THAT much time post-Avacyn’s restoration here, and that the Grey Fencer doesn’t spend too many more months back in Avacyn’s service before she sends him off again. That means that M15 might actually take place chronologically BEFORE the conclusion of Godsend!
One thing that’s not super clear is when exactly Avacyn decided that Garruk was beyond redemption. That’s a potentially interesting question and maybe an insight into her own thought process.
Or maybe all of this is just garbled because WotC doesn’t keep a clear timeline. That’s possible too.
Also can we talk about how weird it is that they created all of this backstory for a character who is introduced by being murdered by Garruk? I’m not complaining because more backstory is great, but it’s still pretty weird.

Khans of Tarkir Clans | Dragons of Planar Chaos
With the colors of the clans revealed and Tarkir being a plane of Dragons; then it would be nice if the legendary dragons of Planar Chaos finds their way into this warring world.
Arcanis the Omnipotent and Zurgo Helmsmasher, created for Magic: The Gathering’s Speed Vs. Cunning Duel Deck.
Magic: the Gathering - Khans of Tarkir Clans
As previewed at the San Diego Comic Con - more previews / info over on the MTG Realm Blog - http://mtg-realm.blogspot.ca/2014/07/sdcc-mtg-panel.html
* Tarkir is a plane of five warring clans. Each worships one aspect of the (now extinct) dragons.
* The five clans are based around a single color in WUBRG order with one ally and one enemy)
* Each clan has a three-color leader (aka the khans or warlords) * Each clan has dragon attributes
* Each clan gets it’s own mechanic plus morph so there are six mechanics
* WBG (centered in white). The Abzan Houses Dragon aspect: Endurance. Symbol: Scale of the Dragon. Khan: Anafenza
* URW (centered in blue). The Jeskai Way Dragon aspect: Cunning. Symbol: Eye of the Dragon. Khan: Narset
* BGU (centered in black). The Sultai Brood Dragon aspect: Ruthlessness. Symbol: Fang of the Dragon. Khan: Sidisi
* RWB (centered in red). The Mardu Horde Dragon aspect: Speed. Symbol: Wings of the Dragon. Khan: Zurgo Helmsmasher. Orcs
* GUR (centered in green). The Temur Frontier Dragon aspect: Savagery. Symbol: Claw of the Dragon. Khan: Surrak Dragonclaw
Magic: the Gathering - Duel Decks’ Anthology Announced during the MTG Panel at SDCC 2014 - This new product which is to be expected to be released on or about December 12, 2014. Duel Decks’ Anthology is to be a compilation set that combines the first four Duel Decks all provided with the new card frames. Now the big question is on many gamer’s minds is exactly what is meant by ‘combined’. To many, this means all eight 60-card theme decks (or 480 cards) from each of the Duel Decks in one product : • Elves vs. Goblins (2007) • Jace vs. Chandra (2008) • Divine vs. Demonic (2009) • Garruk vs. Liliana (2009)

Khans of Tarkir Clan Symbols
We still don’t have the official symbols, but I got bored so I made symbols out of the pictures of the slides back at the SDCC panel. They’re transparent, too! Forgive me for any inaccuracies - the pictures I based them from aren’t the sharpest of images.
Edit: Did the Mardu symbol, made it more smoother with the Zurgo Headsmasher card as reference.
Magic: the Gathering - COMMANDER 2014
At least two things to expect from the Commander product due out in November - • A cycle of Planeswalker Commanders: five monocolored planeswalkers that can be used as a commander. • A cycle of Historical Legendaries: five legendary creatures from Magic’s past that had no a card before.
From the mothersite :
Each Commander Box includes a 100-card preconstructed deck and three oversized, foil legendary Commander cards. The decks are filled with cards from throughout the history of Magic and also include 15 new Magic cards in every deck! The five new Commander decks each contain two brand new mono-color legendary creatures and 13 other never-before-printed cards. There are 51 unique new cards spread across the five decks (some cards appear in multiple decks). These new cards will not only bring excitement to the Commander format but are also legal for use in Vintage and Legacy tournaments!
