[Ā @sullixmc]
This had been the second time Wang Jackson found himself in Europe. It had never been a continent that attracted his attention. This was something he couldnāt lie about, because it had been his fatherās idea to send him to study in United Kingdom, in the first place. Business had never been one of his passions, but Medicine wasnāt one of them either. It had only been a mere whim of his genius mind. Completely absorbed in his thirsty of blood, there was only one thought in his mind ā killing.
That was exactly what had happened a few hours ago. Covered in blood, the man went back to the hotel, entering it through the window of his room. Skipping the bed, he washed the dried blood on his hands, before he turned the old bathtub. Watching the water filling the bathtub, he didnāt wait for it to be completely filled before he hid himself under the hot water. It was burning his cold skin, but he didnāt feel anything. Jackson was still wearing his bloody clothes and because of the blood, it didnāt take long for the transparent water to turn bright red. The vampire didnāt need to breath, but it didnāt take him long to come to the surface, still feeling the adrenaline running through his veins. A couple of hours had passed, but the human blood was still very alive in him.
It was only when he was out of the bathtub and completely dressed that the Hong Konger noticed the wound on his leg. Frowning slightly, the vampire sat down on his bed to look down at the blood that was shedding from the wound. Jackson was a vampire, but why wasnāt the wound closing?
The sky was still dark when the young vampire left the hotel. Looking up at the gloomy clouds, he walked down the empty streets of the city. Where was he? Jackson didnāt even know in which city he was. Trying to avoid London, he remembered being in Rome, but was he still in Italy? The ecstasy of the blood had probably brought him somewhere else. His hearing was blocking any sounds around him, even if the streets were practically empty.
Not wishing to have anyone around him, Jackson sneaked into an alleyway, hoping that he would have some peace there. But that was when he felt a sharp pain in his leg. Stumbling lightly, the vampire lost his balance. Both of his hands pressed against the wall of an abandoned building, closing his eyes tightly at the feeling. Why wasnāt it healing? Sitting down on the dirty floor, he touched his cloth of his pants, feeling the pads of his fingertips stained with some sticky liquid. Because of the lack of the lights, Jackson had to bring his fingers close to his nose. That was when he sensed the blood. It was still bleeding. Cursing under his breathing, he was already losing the notion of space. His vision was getting blurred, letting out a groan of pain.
That was when Jackson heard an unfamiliar voice.

Mark had just gotten settled into a table after waiting in-line at his favorite cafe. This time, however, the sightless boy wasnāt alone. He brought along a friend he hasnāt met since he graduated high school with much excitement after hearing he has not tasted these majestic ā Mark loves it so much he deemed the word majestic was suffice to describe it ā rainbow cakes.
The vampire didnāt need to ask him how he knew it was him. People usually say that blind people may not have their vision, but they have their other senses in double. That was how he figured that Mark knew it was him. Or perhaps his voice also helped. His tone had always been a bit husky, even when he wasnāt doing it on purpose. What Jackson couldnāt deny was that there was some sense of pride in him for the fact that Mark had recognized him. How wasnāt important in this case. There was no reason for this, but he enjoyed the feeling of being recognized by someone who mattered to him, even if he had never admitted this out loud to him.
Even the smile on Markās lips didnāt calm him down. Jackson was one step close of killing the man who was with him.
Blood was exactly what he needed in that moment. That was the only thing that matter to him.
That was why he needed him and he needed him now.
āForget about the wrinkles!ā The vampire didnāt hide the annoyance in this tone when he spoke. Mark obviously didnāt know that he was a vampire. Jackson couldnāt grow old, so why worry about wrinkles now?
āI donāt want to sit down. I want to leave now and you need to come with me. Mark, you needāā His words were cut off when he felt his close friendās hand around his. Markās touch was making his anger a bit better, but the vampire could still feel like he could jump at the other male and rip his head off his body in a blink of an eye.
The introductions had been short. For that, Jackson had been extremely grateful because he really didnāt want to be there.
One more second and the tragedy could happen. The vampireās dead blood was boiling too much at this point.
The relief was the only emotion Jackson felt when they turned around to leave, even if the hunger was still there. However, this feeling only lasted for a brief moment. The other maleās voice interrupted their departure. There was a motion that the vampire had seen from the corner of his left eye, but he only realized what had happened when he turned around to face Seojoon again. The man had reached for Markās other hand, stopping him from leaving.
The anger was back inside of him as the vampire let go of Markās hand and took a step closer to the man. āTake your hand from him. Iāve something important to do and Mark is coming with me. Which was the part of this sentence didn't you understand?ā
One wrong answer and Jackson might lose his control. The vampire was like a tickling bomb.

Control was always on the edge.
Wang Jacksonās control was always on the edge of the abyss, wanting for him to be too weak and wishing that he would edge to that end, without looking back. This was something he wanted badly. There was no need to deny it. The desire of wanting to be out of control and losing himself in the feeling of hunger was always present in his life. Giving up would be so easy. It wouldnāt have been the first time, but sometimes, this seemed almost like a memory. When was the last time he had lost control, with the purpose of turning a city into a battlefield of blood and corpses? His parents were still alive when that happened. They had died at least ten years ago, so a lot had changed since that time. If he could recall correctly, he had killed even before his parentsā death. Time turned into a slow black-hole and the truth is that Jackson stopped having notion of the time.
His main purpose in life was to find his brotherās killer. That was why he was in Busan.
Losing control would take him away from this path, because he knew that as soon as the blood would become best buddies with his taste buds, the vampire would have an undetermined fight with the monster inside of him. Not that he was ashamed of who he was, but in this moment, his brother was more important than anything in the whole world.
That was exactly why he needed Mark.
Mark Tuan had been the one who helped him with his control, the last time he had wanted to feed from an entire store full with people. The dancer had been outside, counting the seconds to gain some control when the human approached him; such of a silly human. It would take only a second for Jackson to kill him, if he wanted. However, the other male seemed to be worried with him. Perhaps that had been the reason why the vampire had managed to gain his control back. Or maybe it was because the other man was blind and he wouldnāt be able to see what kind of monster Jackson was. It could be a mix of both of these reasons. The truth was that since then, Jackson had tried to keep Mark close.
The only problem now was that the vampire was about to lose his control again and the other male wasnāt around.
That was why Jackson wandered around the streets of Busan, searching him. Where could Mark be? Because of time they spent together, he was aware of some of his favorite places. It didnāt take him to finally find him at some cafe, with someone else with him. The Hong Konger obviously didnāt care with whom he was with, as he approached their table and tapped his fist against the table. āWe need to leave now.ā Jackson said quickly, knowing he would recognize him from his voice.

ā Danger
{ ā ā }
āGive me your money and nobody gets hurt.ā Now, Momo was angry. She brushed the hand off of her shoulder and turned to face the person.Ā āNo way! I earned my money and Iām not about to let someone just take it from me!ā The personās face quickly turned angry, and Momo now realized she just got into one deep situation.
Wang Jackson loved troubles. There was no other simple way of describing this. 80% of his decisions had been reckless and even if he had always thought about them in advance ā his brain usually did it without his request ā they had their consequential risks. In some way, the Hong Konger was a lucky man. After so many dangers and antics, he had always managed to get out of them alive. It was praiseworthy, but not recommended for people to try themselves. It was a way of living, even if it wasnāt the most favorable to have a long time. However, this couldnāt be related to Jackson. The man was already 101 years old and still counting. So maybe his intellectual side actually helped.
Getting in troubles was exactly what happened in that morning.
The vampire started his morning routine early. He had never been a fan of schedules or waking up early. However, after finding his brother became his purpose in life, Jackson decided to change some aspects of his life. This was one of them. Waking him early to do some exercise was helpful to keep his energy out of his body. In this way, Jackson would gain some hours of his day, without his constant need of killing someone. Not that this was bad, but food had always created a feeling of indigestion in his stomach and he didnāt want to risk losing his control.
Running at the beach was exactly what he did for a few hours and at the end, even if his body was begging for a shower and some rest, the man decided to grab a cup of coffee. What would be his morning without coffee? Literally nothing. Jackson walked into the store, paying for a black coffee before he met the cold breeze of the autumn. Taking a sip from his hot drink, he started to walk back to his apartment. It wasnāt very far from where he was, so he wouldnāt have to stay outside for too long. Despite being a vampire, Jackson could still feel some difference in his body after doing some exercise. Cold weather didnāt affect him much, but annoyed the hell out of him.
It was when he rounded the corner of a street that something caught his attention. Pausing his pace for a moment, he narrowed his eyes slightly, while watching the entrance of a shopping store. Some people ran out of there in alarm and that actually made him a bit curious about what was going on there. Cautiously, Jackson approached the store, planning to find out what was happening.

āNo. Bark is not enough.ā Jackson insisted, shaking his head. This was one of his biggest problems. Whenever he had an idea in his head, nobody would be able to stop him now, no matter how crazy that idea was. Wang Jackson had always been stubborn and he had always taken pleasure from seeing the others humiliating themselves in front of the others. It was poetically amazing. āI want you to catch the attention of some people around here, get down on your knees and bark at every single question and sentence that the other person says. It needs to be very loud. I want to hear you from the other side of the woods. Just keep barking until Iām satisfied and you can eat whatever you wish.ā Hopefully by then, the people who had to deal with his victimās barking would be very pissed. How long until the victims gets a black eye or worse? Oh this was going to be interestingā¦even if he still needed to get a āfavorā from the other person.
ā now or never ; self para
How long had passed since he was stuck in there?
Wang Jackson couldnāt answer this with certain. In this place, he had stopped having the notion of time. His mind was set in trying to find a way out of this nightmare, not in counting the minutes that had passed since he woke up in the middle of nowhere. It felt like years had passed since it happened, when probably only a few minutes had actually passed. His body was aching to get out of here. It was a living nightmare, especially when it didn't take him long to realize that his powers didn't have any effect in here. Was this some sort of hallucination?
During the 'adventure', his partner had stayed behind. The vampire had promised to himself that he wouldn't let her go, but this hallucination had been against them - clearly since the beginning - because while he had tried to keep an eye on her, something unknown had happened to break them apart. Jackson wasn't even sure when that happened, but he had looked around, he hadn't found her anywhere.
The path he had chosen seemed to be out of a Halloween book. The air was clearly cold, but because he was a vampire, he hadn't felt the change in the temperature too much. There were only negative thoughts in his mind and he had tried to push them away to continue his journey to the end of this maze. It had been a tough path, but one he had decided with a solid reason behind it. No matter how tempting and alluring the other seemed to be, nothing good could have come from that path. Life was made of darkness. People had their hearts rotten, from their pessimistic thoughts and gloomy feelings. People always wanted shiny solutions to their problems for free. It would only be natural that most people would pick the other path. But at what price? There was always a price behind easy solutions. If Jackson had to face the worse kind of scenario, it would be better doing that now.

ā secrets ;
{ open starter }
People always had something to hide from the others. There were always secrets in peopleās lives and that was usually what kept people alive and fighting for what they truly desired. Some people loved to keep secrets hidden in their hearts, but there were others, who preferred to keep those secrets in a form of an object. The latter was Wang Jacksonās case. The vampire could easily claim this only happened because he wanted to keep a souvenir for his past, but this would be clearly a lie. There was no souvenir or memory lane to his past. The only reason why the man had an object to represent one of his secrets was the fact that he truly enjoyed the feeling of being remembered. Despite loving his family more than anything in the whole world, Jackson had always been a selfish man. Even when he was younger, he loved the feeling of having the center of the attention. It was gratifying and magnificent.
It was a feeling he couldnāt quite explain.
It was in the beginning of his own acts as a killer that he started writing down on a book every single death by his hands. There were no names on it or even explanations of what the book come mean. There were only initials and complicated dates - numbers that repeated themselves because of his countless massacres and single dates that merely meant distractions in Jacksonās path. Most faces had already vanished from his mind, as the man only kept in a special place the ones he had truly loved, not because of feelings but for the enjoyment of killing those victims. Everything had been a game to him. Wang Jacksonās entire life had been a playground and that was exactly how he wanted to continue living.
Surprised. That was what he felt when he realized his book of deaths wasnāt with him. Whoever sees it probably wouldn't give a damn about it, but the vampire really needed to find it as soon as possible. Realizing that his black backpack was opened, he had a feeling that the book had fallen because of it. Running back, doing the same path he had down earlier when he got out of the gym, he only stopped for a moment when he noticed someone holding his book. Jackson saw the book before he saw the person.
āPut that down. Thatās mine!ā
