okay, we managed to get through the “you can be gay and not have sex” part, and im feeling charitable and i wanna talk about the “do crime” part

so many responses of “its nice that you’re privileged enough to be able to steal from Target willy nilly!” and that’s not at all what this is about. like, yeah, shoplifting and loitering and graffiti and breaking the rules is, obviously, part of “do crime”. but they’re not parts you have to do.

would you help someone get an abortion where it was illegal?

would you help a trans friend get healthcare that had been criminalized?

would you shelter someone fleeing persecution, even if the law said not to?

would you help a gay couple stay together when the state decided their relationship was unlawful?

would you report someone else for breaking the law? will you snitch on your hungry neighbors for stealing food? on your homeless neighbors for sleeping where they’re able?

wanting to post something to a subreddit but being too shy is so embarrassing like ohhh are they gonna boo me? is le epic reddit army gonna call me a heckin cringe? should we call the navy?

anyway i feel like a quarter of my life is people breaking my nose and then going “omg i feel like i hurt you just now when i broke your nose… i’m sorry i’m sorry are you upset with me” and i go “no don’t worry it’ll heal!! plus i’ll get time off of school :) you’re actually helping me” and then they go “okay thank god i thought i hurt you” and then four days later they break my nose again and i just have to be okay with that bc they used to break my finger and one day i told them “hey it really bothers me when you break my finger” and then i had to spend twelve hours convincing them it’s okay that they broke my finger and even though they haven’t broken my finger since the incident i really don’t wanna have to spend twelve hours comforting them that it’s okay that they’re breaking my nose every few days

being off my SSRIs after taking them for 5 years is like. okay imagine you have noise muffling (not noise cancelling, this is important) headphones on while someone is talking to you. you can’t figure out what they’re saying because of the headphones but you can sort of tell that they’re yelling. why are they yelling? are they mad or are they frustrated or are they anxious? you don’t know! you’re not very good at lip reading so you can’t tell. all you can tell is they’re feeling a BIG THING and you need to know that!! but you don’t know what kind of big it is.

now you have to write down what that person was telling you. the closer to word for word, the better. but you don’t know so you just write “loud.” the person in charge tells you that’s not an answer, and honestly you’re kinda stupid for thinking that was an okay thing to write. you should know what they’re saying!! everyone else does!! and you’re like can i take my headphones off? and they’re like no you fucking stupid idiot!! the headphones make you easier to tolerate!! and you’re like oh okay!!!!!!!

and then you take the headphones off and listen to the person and WOW!!! that guy is so loud!! they’re hurting your ears!!! but you find out that they’re just talking at a normal speaking volume, but because your hearing has been muffled for five fucking years, everything is way louder and super painful!!! and you just have to deal with that until your ears adjust (for roughly 8-12 weeks)!!!!!!!! but for now your ears are ringing all the time and you’re snapping at people because of the pain and it’s hurting you and the people you love and you think maybe i should just put the headphones on again, hell i should get noise cancelling ones, but you remember you’d STILL have to identify whatever that guy is saying for the rest of your life and you’r have to deal with never being completely sure what that guy is saying.

all this to say i haven’t felt an emotion in full for roughly five years and i know i need to but everything is pissing me off and everyone is stupid and i am stupid

guys i think ive figured it out. art block doesn’t exist when i have 5 active wips bc when i get bored or stuck on one art i can just pivot to something with s completely different art style and composition. which means i finish a bunch of shit at the same time and then i have to stagger it but that is okay bc im doing shit!!!
